Jahia is a platform that is intuitive to create fast and friendly pages, easy to use for all the roles in the team from developers to content managers.
There is nothing really that I don't like, I would say that some days the performance is not the best in the platform but is not a daily problem, which makes me think, Jahia is a nice CMS to work on with the team.
Jahia is always open to offer support, I would highlight their support service improving the Search tool, which makes our site easier to find contents.
Jahia helps us maintain a conversion-optimized website in different european countries. We had content localization challenges and data siloes issues due to the use of multiple CRMs in different countries. Jahia solved a lot of our issues by providing clean content translation/localization workflows and great integrations with Salesforce and HubSpot. Our user adoption for the platform is very high.
Jahia offers uneven user interfaces: most feel modern and fast, some seems to be inherited from a different era, and it can impact the user experience. That's not a big issue but the role and workflow should be redone.
Jahia hosts our corporate website which is translated in 7 languages and localizes our content for 10 countries. We successfully run personalization and A/B testing campaign and integrate all of this data in Jahia's CDP and in GA4. The project runs very well.
I am the head of marketing for a large B2B marketing event company. Needless to say that I know a thing or two about successful websites and DXP platforms. The platform Jahia provided shines by more than one aspect:
- It is blazing fast
- It is welcoming to all the marketing and communication people, regardless of their technical background
- It provides a lot of actionnable KPIs related to the health of the pipeline, conversion and marketing campaigns
- It has great personalization and A/B testing capabilities, actionnable on many customer propreties
The company is small and can be harder to make it through the due dilligence and compliance evaluations. The community is not developed enough and you are basically left with the partner network and professional services team provided by the vendor.
We are hosting 200 event sites, so with a short lifespan and some that are permanent. These websites are managed by tens of freelancer and permanent employees with different skillsets, whose goals it is to post content, translate, validate, review the analytics, improve the SEO and drive campaigns with complex funnels. Jahia has been a terrific partner in allowing all of this to happen for us.
As a developer I have been impressed with the ability to customize the Jahia CMS to suite each website's needs. It is relatively straight forward to create custom components to compliment the out of the box ones. This has allowed me to provide content editors with the building blocks they need to easily build and maintain their websites. Custom actions and rules are also easy to set up for interfacing with various third party solutions. This has provided flexibility for many interoperability needs such as login, billing, reporting, etc.
Understanding how Jahia does things certainly has a learning curve to it. The first few customizations that anyone implements will likely be rough around the edges, however this is something that does get easier after a bit of experience. This and evolving business needs can lead to some issues because it can be incredibly difficult to change how something works once data has been created. Up front planning and a bit of experience can mitigate issues, but inevitably needing to adjust the underlying data will need to be done and can be a bit painful.
Jahia provides a centralized platform to run and manage various websites and handle all of the third party integrations that the sites need to interact with.
Jahia offers a very good experience to all the users who access it: marketers, content curators and administrators. I enjoy the snapiness of the features I use the most (content creation, translation, publication workflows, image manipulation, web analytic management, personalization). The UI is intuitive and modern and we have great control over our website
I wish the content taxonomy (categories) was more flexible. We manage several sites with Jahia and the categories cannot be reused across multiple sites, which impacts our search results. The performance of the built in search engine could also be improved
Jahia is helping us with our web presence by helping improve our SEO, web performance and conversion rate. We leverage the A/B testing and personalization engine as well as the customer data platform. The data come from HubSpot and Google Analytics. We had to develop a custom hubspot content hub connector, which was not too complex
I am part of a content curation team and have been using Jahia for the past 3 years on a daily basis. Jahia has proven to be a very good partner, both as a content management software and as a company. We implement a document management portal used by hundreds of employees and our use case is in no way easy to handle. The product proved to be flexible and the Jahia support team helped us to solve roadblocks rapidly
Jahia is both a portal and a personalization solution, and we only use the portal aspect of it. Some of the interfaces revolve around the personalization / analytics too much, even those we use to manage the content and documents of the internal regulation portal of my company. I would like Jahia to provide a simpler contribution experience for non expert users
We use Jahia to manage a library of 10000 regulatory and legal documents for the company. I work at the biggest energy distribution network of France and our regulatory landscape is very hard to manage without the right tool. Providing the right level of information to the right people is a key to the success of a lot of my team memebers, and we try to make their life the easiest possible
Jahia is a good website management solution that provides a versatile approach for multi site / multi language web presence. It may be a bit light on the personalization aspect, but offers a solid solution in terms of SEO / web performance / tracking / customer journey optimization.
I was in charge of automatizing the infrastructure behind Jahia and was in charge of availability and security SLA, areas in which Jahia performed very strongly (that was one of our key decision criteria)
The data agregation in the CDP requires more work than originally anticipated for connectors that are not provided out of the box.
The documentation of the CDP integration could be clearer, we often had to switch between the Apache unomi website and Jahia's Academy, which was a loss of time
We relied on Wordpress which lacked a good user content authoring flow (with collaboration workflows and automated translation capabilities). We experienced frequent downtimes, which were related to our old infrastructure, the ifrastructure change was a good opportunity to explore a different DXP at the same time
Having used a number of CMS systems and similar technologies I was surprised how familiar Jahia felt. This made it a straightforward learning curve and made it easier for my team to pick up the technology and get on with building out our content.
There's nothing really that I dislike about the platform, but I will say that the platform is capable of a lot and we're not yet fully utilizing everything it can do, so I see it that there's certainly a gap in terms of what we could do and what we've done so far.
The site we inherited was running on an old open-source system, but we have a multi-lingual site with a lot of traffic, so we needed something more capable, more powerful and more stable.
Jahia enabled us to speed up the load times of our pages a lot which has helped SEO but the biggest win is the agility of change and the time it takes to launch new pages which has drastically reduced.
At the same time you've always got complete flexibility because you can either use your components or custom HTML if you want to extend it in that way.
I am a marketing specialist specialized in growth hacking, my use of Jahia is around the SEO boost and prospect conversion based on personalization, AB testing and the use the analytics. Jahia is providing me with a lot of actionnable data. All the UIs I used were straightforward and well documented. Jahia helped me deliver on my goals.
When setting up my account, I faced one authentication issue that took too much time to resolve and the reason is still not clear to me. That's not great when you are hired to do a job quickly.
It is helping us run the lead generation site of our company. The prime intent is to run a highly personnalized website based on all the data silo we have (intent signals from different platforms, CRM, marketing automation stack) and to feed our marketing team with KPIs that help them iterate on the content.

Jahia DXP supports multi-languages and multi-websites. This helps to easily manage the content and the website in an optimal and effective way. It also helps us organize our content and keep a well-structured website.
Jahia's price is quite high, higher than other platforms. We must consider the features to decide the Jahia compared with the others.
Jahia is always receptive and increasingly improving itself, for example, the support team is always on hand to quickly fix problems, helping my work continue as planned, without wasting time. Jahia help us update the website quickly and speed up the go-live process.
