Wide range of Data elements available in the API

The data we get is not 100% accurate, also they're missing an option to correct the option.

IPstack is helping me in showing location-specific data to the visitors of my website.

I've been using ipstack for over 6 years on a couple of different websites, and I'm really happy with what we're getting. We needed a simple geolocation service that's easy to integrate into our systems and provides accurate results for user's country, language, and currency.

The integration itself took no more than an hour and the geolocation results are very accurate with almost zero mistakes, unless the visitor is using a VPN or something. We are using only the most basic features of their API but that’s all we require and its working like it should.

Overall, I would definitely recommend ipstack to anyone looking for a reliable geolocation API. It's easy to integrate, gets the job done and the pricing is fair too.

ipstack offers 4 subscription plans, each suited according to the number of requests you plan to use. We have chosen the PROFESSIONAL plan, which provides 500,000 requests per month. While this seems like a big number, we noticed that the requests are increasing and not matching our data records of users. We then discovered that crawlers are not excluded, and each time a bot visits a specific page, it counts as a request from ipstack's side. So, my only suggestion for ipstack is to consider adding an option to exclude robots and crawlers from consuming your credit requests. Nevertheless, you can exclude these requests yourself with a few lines of code, preventing them from using your credits.

We wanted to make our website more personalized for our users and improve our conversion rate. We needed to know from where the user is coming from (country), what language he speaks and the user local currency. With ipstack, we were able to obtain these exact data and created a more personalized experience for the user.

IPStack provides easy-to-use services and excellent documentation. So far, I am using their IP geolocation service, which is pretty accurate and fast. I am also planning to use their currency exchange API in an ongoing customer project. Of course, these services come with a price tag, but it is moderate, and the added value you get for the amount you pay is extremely fair.

Creating, maintaining, updating and properly securing an API is tedious work. So, instead of inventing the wheel, I'd always prefer to pay a small amount for a great job, and focus on my actual assignments and the tasks that count and bring me a financial result)

Having additional plan tiers would be great. Our current plan seems to be too small us now, but the next tier looks like too big.

When a user sign-ups with BSC Designer account we want to provide the best experience aligned to the user's location, such as adding required currencies to the user's account and adding correct localized templates of the scorecards. This is perfectly solved by the APILayer's APIs, the ipstack in particular helps with correct detection of location.

I would like to see some choices between 50,000 and 500,000 requests a month -- that is too wide of a spread.
