Easy to navigate, love the extension for Chrome that lets you quickly begin any tutorial, ability to edit is wonderful. Love the fact that the user can print out the directions if needed as well. The masking feature is great for sensitive material and really enjoy the fact that you can require the user to entire an exact phrase or identifier in order to move forward in the tutorial, for additional retention.
Occasionally, the program will stall on certain web pages and has a few bugs that prevent click recording, which causes the user to have to re-do the entire tutorial.
Iorad has improved company training retention ten-fold -- we use it to teach complicated database use that would otherwise need to be completed via a video demonstration. This not only shows the user how to complete each task, but helps with learning since they are completing the actions themselves. The fact that they can always refer back to them and have them on-hand during the first few months of their onboarding has been amazing.
Language translation, different modes of learning
The pricing for the enterprise package is pretty steep. However, you can get what you need from the team package
Easy to use tool that is scalable to create, update, and display to users.
micro learning, scalability in updating content, offering accessible learning, offering translation
The software tool automatically incorporates the documentations options into one place to select the form to use. It also adds a simulator to help Customers practice how to use the system the document is teaching them to use.
I have not found anything to dislike yet.
Our webmaster has been using it and demoed it for me. I asked for a license and I now have a license from our Region 10 ESC to use iorad. I will start using iorad to convert my documentation repositories into iorad help. I can see this tool taking documentation to the next level of improving the end product created for users.
I am going to create several hundred iorad helps from the documents I have created in Google to improve our Customer and company Staff comprehension of our systems. This should make it easier for our staff to learn or remember something on one of our systems.
I like that I can show people how to do things exactly on the same screen they would be looking at.
I dislike the 250 character limit for the text.
People are able to refer to the tutorial rather than reaching out with a question. The ability to go bac and look at the material whenever they want is key.
I am able to navigate through our portals to show different ways to use our products. The simulations are very easy to complete and provide step by step instructions along with voice commentary. People can watch these simulations and then use them in real-time in their portals.
I sometimes have a hard time finding my content using the search function.
Iorad allows me to add simulations into the education software I use. It is very helpful for my learners to be able to walk through specific tasks that they will need to master to use our software. Our clients find them very helpful.
Our team members and clients are able to complete tasks as they are learning about specific parts of our product. They get to control their mouse and actually produce the result in real-time.
The thing I like best about Iorad is the ability to create a visual tutorial with written out notes for people to follow. I also like the ease of directing people to the site where the Iorad is held. This will save you many hours of repetitive showing.
There really isn't anything I dislike about Iorad. You need to try this app out.
If you are constantly telling people how to do something on the computer, this while be your favorite go-to app.
IT solves the problem of showing the same thing over and over. I have saved many working hours by creating a Iorad and then when people ask how to do something I just send them the link.
Iorad is great for making quick tutorials that check off all the boxes on accessibility. I use it so I can single-source training content and embed it in different locations. Product training content always gets thrown out quickly, so I like how easy iorad is to make/update.
Some of the features aren't so intuitive. Settings get hidden within a labyrinth of menus that you have to know how to navigate. Also, team members have the option to "apply changes to all," so be wary of who gets a seat in your plan.
I'm not sure it fits neatly in the digital adoption platform category. It's more of a point solution subcategory that focuses on creating product walkthroughs quickly and makes sharing walkthroughs easier. They can live agnostically outside of an LMS, which makes them great for startups still figuring things out.
It is very easy to make any tutorials from iorad and it can easily record your screen and audio video at the same time
Nothing much to dislike about this service, if you can make it more cheap it will be more than enough
It solves problem of making tutorial as easy as clicking few buttons.
- Quick to 'record' a tutorial
- Drag and drop UI makes it easy to add annotations such as callouts
- Good solution if you don't have video production resources, or would like to incorporate more varied learning content in your LMS courses
- Appreciate the ability to turn on text-to-speech to make the iorad widgets more accessible, and also lightens the production load.
- The Chrome plugin tends to be buggy, so I always need to use the desktop app
- Recording can sometimes take some getting used to as the flow and experience is different for folks who are more familiar with recording training videos.
- Help Center resources are a bit scarce so getting up and running can take a bit of trial and error. However, once you have created a few Iorad components, then the flow is much smoother.
- The embedded Iorad widget branding options are a bit light, and would benefit from more customization ability.
Creating and maintaining new training videos can be costly and time consuming. In addition, learnings can get fatigued of watching multiple videos consecutively. Iorad gives us the ability to offer more varied learning content in our LMS and also more easily refresh content. This frees up our resources and allows our lean team to produce more content.

I love that I can edit the steps after I walk through them with Iorad. That, in addition to the fact that the learner can approach the steps in the way that makes the most sense for them.
Sometimes it isn't as intuitive as I'd like with regard to reading the steps. It's OK because I can always edit.
It is making quick work of content creation.
