I prefer its organic look and feel and the fact that it works on different devices and I can share my maps with colleagues.
Sometimes an offline version would be handy.
I am an artist and I find it difficult to organise my workflow on paper or in ordinary diaries. The IOctopus helps me with this, as it's interesting and it's nice to do even boring things in it. Also, when I need to think with my mind, it helps me concentrate and find a cool idea for my art.
1) It's simple to use
2) branches are organic
3) colours are beautiful
4) the interface is clear
5) the library of icons
6) It's affordable
For the moment it's only in English, but it's not a big issue :-)
I can make quick mindmaps online without any hassle AND with essentials standard rules of mindmapping by Tony Buzan.
The smart search is out of this world.
I was looking for an io that will recognize the search results as I wanted: meaning if a bubble contains multiple matches to search, the result will show all of them, but count as one.
IOctopus is the only one that has this, besides, the navigation from one result to the next is so smooth, that you don't get dizzy after jumping from one to another.
The customer support team is so helpful, answering all the emails fast and giving all the information needed.
Grate shout out to Jane Selishcheva for being so patient and helpful.

nothing that I dislike so far. I'm sure they will add new features and integrations)
The fact that this visualization tool is helping to navigate from one option to another, plus - it looks amazing
the minimalistic interface is not overwhelming and allows our team to focus on what's important. it's also easy to track progress and keep track of tasks with the task management function. mind maps show priorities at a glance. it makes our team more productive. i also like the look of the branches.
i haven't found them yet! ioctopus is fully suitable for my tasks.
planning, goal setting, task management, control of own and team tasks, collaboration, team communication
I like the fact that I found a nice-looking program, the others I tried were ugly and I just couldn't use them for a long time. It's also good for me that it's an online service and I can show my maps to friends and collaborators without having to install the program on my computer first. And if I have to change computer, I can easily continue my work without being distracted by recovery and other things, you know. The current functionality is generally satisfactory to me, and I'm even glad that there are not many functions because usually mind mapping programs are cluttered with buttons, which I get lost in. In general, for those who like me like minimalism is a great solution.
I can't stick a branch anywhere, like away from the others. They align left and right. This is not critical for me because it makes the map look neater in the end. I want to have that option as well :)
I primarily use octopus for planning my work and for collaboration. It also helps me a lot with complex tasks, when I need to see the whole picture of small things and to choose the main thing and think about what to do next.
The octopus has an organic flexible design as conceived by Tony Buzan. And besides the fact that I am very productive when using these minecards. I am just pleased to use it.
this service may have little functionality yet
I use mind maps for project planning and management, organizing information, getting ideas, for brainstorm.
Easy to go tool, minimalistic features makes it very effective. Mocking up project pipelines, iterate over it, assign branches to team members makes it easy to track
Integration with other products, there are a lot of different product which can be integrated with this one but there is no such support available
creating mindmaps on the go, mocking up and changing the parameters for the next iteration, all of this with a clean UI
One of the important feature for me was to share mindmap with my team and exchange updates accordingly, this tools lets me do that without any hassles. The visialization of the whole idea is pretty good, i can clealry see the realtionship between different branches and move forward accordingly
There are not lot of features offered yet, there is no file finding support or API support. Cannot place branch as it is, need to connect it at all times.
Quick mindmapping with light weight functionalities. Build and share with team so that the idea evolves quickly

The overall ease of use - they have made it really simple to get started with capturing thoughts and arranging them in an actionable way.
The biggest opportunity right now is around data exporting and portability. I would love to have easier ways to share robust mind maps without having to save a large image or get people to join the service.
As a UX/CX designer, iOctopus enables me to quickly identify and capture themes of user need when talking to internal and external stakeholders. The quick and easy interface lets me get key information saved without pulling my focus away from what is happening around me.
