CNPS loves Instrumentl!

What do you like best about Instrumentl?

We love the ease of finding grant matches, the way you can see different views on the dashboard, track the status and history of grants, and see multiple types of data for funders.

What do you dislike about Instrumentl?

I wish we could insert customizable fields for grant opportunities. For example, we would like to be able to create a field that shows the program we intend to fund, contact person, and a field for a probability rating that we assign to prospects.

I would like to be able to filter out those that I feel aren't applicable or do not wish to apply to.

Instrumentl solves the problem of me having to track the status of where each grant is at in its application process. The biggest benefit is that having all of the information in one place helps me to stay organized and be able to give real time updates to my team.

Instrumentl to Boost Your Fundraising!

What do you like best about Instrumentl?

The interface is both easy to use and to navigate. Instrumentl lets you drill down to a granular level of detail when performing searches (example, search by multiple different keywords, size of grants, fields of work). I like that I can have multiple projects set up (for different organizations and programs). I like that you can look at details about Funders including giving details about who they've given to and whether or not they give grants to first-time applicants or not.

What do you dislike about Instrumentl?

Regarding 'Geography,' it would be nice to be able to have two different search options - 1) for the geographic location of the applicant organization 2) for the geographic location of the population being served (by the organization you're seeking funding for).

Of course, it's also always nice to see opportunities for getting discounts, if you are a vulnerable community member (example, marginalized community member, other).

Best Investment Ever

What do you like best about Instrumentl?

Instrumentl is a grant research goldmine. Being able to research, plan, and track grant opportunities in one place is such a time-saving asset. The system is extremely user-friendly and the reminders/alerts are great. I subscribed halfway through my demo.

What do you dislike about Instrumentl?

I have not found any downsides to using Instrumentl.

Instrumentl reduces the need for multiple resources to search for grant opportunities and reduces the time I spend searching for those that align with my clients' programs.

Great Value

What do you like best about Instrumentl?

Instrumentl is a great value for our agency. Its easy to set up projects and find potential funders. I can efficiently review those potential funders with the information right at my fingertips and share the best opportunities with my ED with a couple of clicks. The weekly emails really help keep me focused on my grant work. But the best thing about Instrumentl is the team. They are responsive, cordial and truly invested in seeing their clients succeed.

What do you dislike about Instrumentl?

I would like the ability to see all the potential funders for a project/programin a spreadsheet format in order to both easily review with Board members about who they might know and to look at potential funding for competing program ideas.

Highly recommend. Quality of customer support is outstandng.

Intuitive, user friendly, and extremely helpful in getting organized

What do you like best about Instrumentl?

The grant matching feature saves so much time searching for funding sources. Having all of the important information in one place is very efficient, and I love being able to visually see all the grants I am working on. Being able to collaborate with team members by assigning tasks and deadlines is also very helpful.

What do you dislike about Instrumentl?

The only downside that I have seen is the limited number of users on the free version. We have multiple volunteers that are working on funding, but we are not all able to access InstrumentL at the same time.

What problems is Instrumentl solving and how is that benefiting you?

InstrumentL is helping our team save a lot of time researching and organizing grant funder information, and it is keeping us from duplicating work by allowing us to collaborate. It saves us from having to create our own tracking system for grant applications.
