its soooo easy to use and save users and get them set up on payment plans - I love this- we used to use sbp and i favor istamed over it bigtime 10 stars - will recommened
I can not say that I dislike anything about this platform- it helps tremendously and i can teah others how to use this program without any issues - I cant say anything bad about it
payment plans are now easier than ever to set up- and reurring paying are taken out of pts accounts seamlesslsy and accounted for - I think its solving problems with missing/collecting payments
The setup and face of the program are so user-friendly and easy to use. I used to use secure bill pay - wich was more of a hassle - so glad we changed to instamed
if I add a guarentor I had trouble changing it- however editing patient accounts seem fairly easy to do and understand. I like that it saved accounts to help faster check out process
no problems so far - all I can say is that I like this payment portal; it has been the best one I've used thus far - i would highly recommend it!!! I LOVE THIS PROGRAM

I disliked how complicated insurance can be with instamed.

Nothing! What I originally thought would be great turned out to be be totally wrong.
Everything! So I seen the option to pay the remaining balance to a medical provider using Instamed through Cigna's site. I thought fantastic - easier to keep track of, quick access to receipts...great! Until I started getting notices that the bills I had paid months earlier were not being paid to the provider! It took 2 weeks and everyone pointing the finger at each other - the provider at instamed, instamed at the provider, Cigna at instamed....and it was pure heck! I tried calling Instamed and was on hold for over 30 minutes before I finally decided to submit a support ticket on their online system. I waited almost a week and never received a response. Finally sucked it up and sat on hold until someone finally answered. They then proceeded to tell me the address was listed as incorrect for the provider so all they could do is send me a refund. I though ok finally a resolution! Then came the next kick- I asked when I would get the refund...response "it could be up to 30 days". REALLY???? It takes them less than an hour to take my money, they keep it for 3 months, then another month to get it returned? So now I do not have the money and the provider is threatening collections!
This whole thing has been a nightmare! Avoid this company. Take the time to send it directly to the provider.
They are supposed to be paying a provider and failed to do so. They held on to my money, that I still do not have back, and claim the refund will take up to another 30 days! They have negatively impacted everything!!!!
Nothing at all. Payment they issue via virtual credit card are denied by the issuer. Request for resolution result in multiple phone calls, with multiple people, and multiple cases opened, and NO RESOLUTION.
I have been dealing with Instamed payments since December 2021 and it is now August. Enrolled online, received a welcome letter in February, in March billing company asked that payments be made as direct deposit as the virtual credit cards they issue are declined. In July received another virtual credit card which repeatedly is denied, and when contacting the company multiple times, now told that the corporate ID I provide them, which is documented in an email from them 3/22 is not the same one they have on file, and they refuse to advance in resolving the issue because they insist I am not providing the correct Corporate ID. They have every other piece of information about my practice, including tax ID,NPI, bank information, and still no interest in resolving this issue. Do the insurers who use them understand that the payments issued by Instamed are unusable?? I would caution anyone against using this company, and don't expect help from them if there is a question, you will be lucky to make it out of their voice mail prompt.

Instamed is very user friendly and has excellent report capabilities built into the platform.
Users easily lock themselves out of their account because the password is case sensitive. They may have created it using lowercase & uppercase letter but by default Instamed's password field has uppercase enabled so everything entered upper case.
When implementing the product, your organization needs a clear vision of what you want to accomplish, participate in demos, form a solid project team within your organization for engagement purposes. These individuals will need to help you gather information if transitioning from a different system and help with making design decisions for future state. You will need representation on your team from IT/Technical for equipment needs, Patient Accounting for workflow and financial institution information, Patient Access, Marketing for online bill pay, along with super users who can help support end-users on the floor once you go live.
We are able to collect at patient bedside in our ED department. IT allows for a more efficient workflow. We also now have online bill pay platform that accepts payments across multiple facilities. Patients no longer have to make bill payments in person or via mail. They can DIY on the website or call our accounting department to have them process the payment. We are able to capture better insights using the built in reports and track payments daily/monthly by facility, payment type, etc.
