The platform's real-time issue tracking, remote log viewing, and customizable SDK are also highlighted as strengths. - Easy to use
- Fast follow-up on reporting issue
- nice dashboard
- SDK shared between 300 team members with no issue
nothing specific, but mainly we have been using it for like 1.5 years with no a single change in UI or dashboard
we use the tool to internally reporting issues between team member in our company, help us to get quick feedback from different user
track the issue request
follow every step to get the root
easily to share the bug link between engineers
The most important thing in instabug is that i can see all the previous logs like Network request, UI Request
and 2nd thing is we can connect instabug with JIRA so we can easily manage the support stuff without any human resource like we can talk with user and every step i take on the ticket user can also see and track
so my experience is amazing i also recommend instabug to many friends and colleague to inplement in the app
i dont see any downside but i found an bug a year ago while my manager assigned me on an project due to users limit it wont allow me to access Insta project but my question atleast i get some appropriate error so i can tell the manager to remove other and add me again.
it solves me to fix bugs on those device which is not available at time of development
- Detailed bug reports including stack traces makes finding and fixing issues so much faster
- Shake to report for end users and internal testers means we learn more about problems AND we're even able to respond to users via Instabug if we need more details
- Very easy to get set up
- The service always works. We've never had an issue with it, ever.
Overall, it's a great product. It does what you want it to do. Our only hiccup has been on user management (it can be a bit finnicky at times, but definitely no worse than many other dev tools)
We have users across the world. Apple's crash reporting doesn't give us anywhere near enough detail as to what is going on. Instabug solves this problem for us--we get stack traces, we have the information organized in a clear fashion, we can automatically import these issues into our issue tracker. Our ultimate goal is to have a crash-free and bug free app: Instabug puts us on that path
Bug reporting (so much detailed bug information and so well thought, like categories)
Network monotiring
Missing an API to build custom flows
I would like to be able to share filters and send them over using links (if the filter params were part of the URL that would be possible for example for easy sharing)
Too expensive
Too few seats (seats should be cheaper, I cannot think that there is any substncial cost per seat for Instabug)
QA reporting effectively bugs back to the team
APM measuring
I really enjoy being able to see the repro steps and logs. This helps support the issue and determine the root cause.
Sometimes there are delays in receiving the reports due to cellular connection. It would be great if they could flow through even offline.
It helps users access support they need at their finger tips and the chat function allows for easy conversations between the support team and end user.
Super clear reporting that gives me a 10k foot view that can be drilled down into individual user insights
Difficult to identify the identity of users having issues (which I understand due to PII laws)
Essential for our reporting dashboard to monitor acceptance criteria and crash reporting.
I appreciate the daily email digest. It allows me to stay on top of all the ongoing issues without being tied to Slack.
The site is user-friendly and provides valuable insights.
It's always super user friendly for our customers.
So far no complaints about using Instabug.
Instabug helps us find and resolve bugs in our mobile apps.
Instabug is an easy way to obtain the necessary information to solve customer issues quickly. Without it we would struggle to get the information we need from non-technical users, and would be unable to determine the correct root cause of the issue.
I wish there were a way to remotely request a bug report from a specific device, as some of our non-technical customers still struggle with sending a bug report or just don't want to take the time to do so.
Instabug allows us to gain insights into our product's stability and support our customers when they run into issues. Having the ability to gather all of the necessary technical information and logs from when an issue occurs allows us to find the root cause of an issue and help our customers quickly.
We started using Instabug at early stages of product development and testing. It was super easy to report bugs, issues or improvements as they go straight to Jira. Developers liked it as it is way faster to debug and find out what is wrong. Sometimes they 'shake it' even for themselves while developing feature.
Very minor thing. "The shakes" go to Slack and Jira. Slack is the easiest and fastest way to see it. Would be great it Slack message about new bug had Jira link attatched.
Speed while reporting, easy access to logs and screenshots or screen recordings. In this way we can get easy and fast feedback from more people than usually. As the "shake to report" feature is a lifesaver for non quality assurance profesionals.

I love the visual flow for usage you get with each bug report. It's an amazing tool to track down what users are seeing - they aren't always the best at explaining problems.
My only complaint about Instabug is with account management. There are several places where it's difficult to change settings, easy to accidentally rack up unwanted charges, and accidentally sign up for features you don't want. I've already dealt with two scenarios where I get a surprise bill.
Tracking down problems users run into in the app that they report to me - it's much easier to see what device and version of the app they're on and visually see their issue happening.
