There is nothing which I dislike with the org. manager.

As a system administrator I like best the org.manager's flexibility: After about ten years of experience with the org.manager we did not even once reach the point where Ingentis support had to tell us "Sorry, your request cannot be realised." Actually, sometimes I wish I could tell my colleagues with their powerful imagination which can in certain cases lead to funny ideas "Sorry, but for technical reasons we cannot meet your requirements" - but that wouldn't be true... My colleagues who are working with organisational charts provided in our intranet like most the easy overview and the high degree of usability.
There's nothing to dislike at all. The only point is that the huge degree of flexibility leads to a certain system complexity (concerning the administration) so that sometimes requirements cannot be met only on an intuitive basis. However, the Ingentis support is very fast and reliable so that one easily gets help whenever tasks are too difficult to be solved on one's own. Anyway, the system complexity regards only the administration of the tool - which means that the standard user can handle the tool very easily.
We process our employee's data with SAP HCM. For companies not using SAP, I cannot judge the situation. But for those who do use SAP HCM, I recommand the use of the Ingentis org.manager without hesitation.
We display our organisational structure in our intranet so that everyone of our employees has access to it. The search feature enables everyone to find every name within the organisation - which gives a lot of orientation. Also, responsibilities can easily be found. The HR department also usese the org.manager for reporting and controlling purposes.

The tool is flexible. The support given by Ingentis with initial configuration and when issues arise is excellent.
We have not been able to solve the fact that in the print version the borders round the boxes are not shown consistently. However, as the print version is only for archive purposes this is a very minor issue.
Can definitely recommend. Very responsive consultant for initial set-ups and on-going support.
We have been able to introduce a second Management View of our charts with Ingentis org.manager which was not possible with the software that was used previously.
Displaying interactive up-to-date orgcharts (and other types of pleasing visualization, e.g. sunbursts, lists, dashboards) straight out of directly connected SAP HCM (or other erp) data. Adding business-defined information from others sources for data-enrichment purposes . Completely customizable design in web publications by embeddable css or pre-built design features, show/hide or even manipulate information based on user configurable rules. Publish data via mail, csv or pdf, offering downloads in orgcharts and - of course - build interactive orgmanagement scenarios using the integrated simulation capability (also containing all already mentioned features).
'Those who lament are those already enjoying high standards.' There is almost nothing to complain about. If at all, it could be a bit easyier to fetch historical data and whole time periods for, e.g., visualizing retroactive data changes. By default, ingentis orgmanger expects a specific effective date for data extracting purposes.

The implementation of the system is time consuming and should be well planned, but the company Ingentis supports with its expertise at all times. First workshops with an Ingentis consultant in your company are recommended to get to know your structure better. In this way, the consultant can get a better insight into the company and its goals by using the orgmanager.

Dislike ? Not really, but please could you improve the download functionalities especially for excel users and the selection of data that the user intends to dowload or to check. Checking data in excel can save time e.g. in the controlling department.
Otherwise you have to check all the charts which can be time consuming in bigger companies e.g. regarding checking of master data changes in the context of re-organizations (sometimes the HR department presents preliminary changes to check).

But something could be helpful in the org.manager:
Could you add an overview / list which demonstrates cost center changes of the employees in a selected time period/interval (name, cost center old/new, month, year) - based on the current SAP master data.
In our company many people have access to the org.manager on our intranet website and this could be very helpful for many people and would save a lot of time regarding the handling of company cars, travel costs, posting of invoices, creating purchase orders etc.
