ID.me is easy to use! Within seconds I can adjust the discount level, include or exclude products, and turn the feature on or off (not that we turn it off). After initial dev work, it is very low touch. I also appreciate the extra promotion ID.me provides via newsletters and promo, as well as our Customer Success Manager.
The initial installation did require some custom coding to get the buttons how I would like them.
Build a webpage dedicated to these discounts to get the most bang for your buck. Also, we found success creating buttons for certain discounts at checkouts to get more use.

The ID.me integration to our Shopify store was very easy and seamless. Not only were we able to show our support of our existing customers in those groups, but we were able to reach many more potential customers. We started with the basic self-serve Shopify integration, and after seeing results, we were able to transition to a managed account easily.
We are still near the beginning of our partnership with ID.me, so there is nothing we dislike at the moment. The self serve platform has been a breeze, and we only just transitioned to a managed account, so I don't think we have enough experience to speak to this question yet.

ID.me has provided us with an opportunity to easily reward those customers with a discount while ensuring that only verified members of the groups are granted access. We find ID.me to be an excellent identity solution for our clients as well as a fantastic platform for creating group-specific offers. The level of support received from exploration to integration and maintenance is top-notch. There’s also a level of comfort knowing the specific needs our clients have within this space can all be handled and managed within one platform.
Not having the ability to make changes and updates to offers without some extra steps can be a hangup, but nothing preventing our clients and us from being successful.
The most significant benefit is eliminating in-person verification for the groups our clients are targeting. Knowing the guarantees take place online frees up a lot of time and resources.
The IDP and verification process is straight forward and our end-users have had a pleasant experience with it overall.
