Simplify Payroll and HR with Humi: Focus on People

We have used HUMI for over a year now and it has simplified many aspects of our HR processes. From onboarding to vacation management, it has streamlined more than we could have ever imagined!
There really isn't anything we dislike. We are working towards introducing some of their other offerings into what we already utilize. An fully functional app would be great though!
It has helped us solve our vacation recording for an ever growing team. It became increasingly difficult to manage utilizing spreadsheets but HUMI has resolved that for us.
Their product itself works great. If we do have any issues, the Humi support team is incredibly quick and responsive, providing us with the answers that we need. I have zero hesitation recommending Humi to any HR team looking for an intuitive HRIS.
Their mobile app isnt super useful and would be the only area I would say could use improvement. By no means is this is a showstopper however.
We use Humi for payroll, time off, benefits tracking and employee files. We have been able to easily digitize onboarding and our full employee lifecycle.
Very user friendly, great UI, great customer service.
Things I don't love:
- The e-signature software for documents is a bit frustrating to use. I wish I could edit documents directly in the platform rather than re-uploading a new PDF each time. Also, it is hard to customize documents for multiple employees.

Easy to get set up and manage each employee. Extra modules add key power to HR Data and analytics which give HR actionable information to support employees further.
Currently, we are unable to change preset wording used by Humi that would better reflect our company culture on the platform. For example, performance & documents.

Firstly, Humi does a great job at managing our Health Insurance Policy. They provide annual reviews and advice on what to do. Then they negotiate on our behalf to get us better rates. Secondly, I really how Humi manages our employee's vacation requests and tracking.
Besides vacation tracking and health insurance services, I do not find many of their other services exceptionally useful. Maybe it is because I have not applied them in our company, but I just don't see the point. Those two services are great though.

Humi does a great job of onboarding users, has a beautifully designed UI, and the thoughtfulness of their product experience shows they care a great deal about making the payroll process painless for non-accountants. In our company, our simple rule is that we build and use software that we love to use. Humi quickly cleared that hurdle.
The payment structure is add-on heavy. If you attempt to integrate many HR parts into your Humi stack, you may feel like you're being nickel and dimed. This isn't a problem for us, as we are a small company and use Humi for payroll only. We also benefit from this structure in that Humi can be less expensive for the few pieces we use it for!
Humi has solved: employee payroll for both hourly and salaried wages, structured HR document tracking, employee contracts and information tracking (bye-bye spreadsheets), yearly tax form creation, and a host of HR-related issues that our small team was not equipped to do manually. Payroll now takes 5 minutes.
The integration of the recruiting tool to the conversion from a prospective candidate to a fully onboarded employee ensures that nothing is missed. From simple contact information to payroll and tax information to documentation, Humi captures it all.
While Humi contains the vast majority of tools to have an effective HRIS and management system from payroll to administration, from documents to employee reviews; it does not have time-tracking software. Therefore it becomes more complex if the employee works for an hourly wage.
The primary issue we experienced prior to Humi was bottlenecking in the administration tasks involved with recruiting. Manually tracking applicants, manually sending out emails, manually coordinating meetings, manually sending offers, manually onboarding, manually collecting and retaining confidential information. These are all processes that Humi automated.
It's really hard to pick a "best" about Humi. Whether it's the product itself, the team behind it all, or the fact that there has been so much growth over the years with the platform. We've been Humi customers since 2018 and they have been outstanding partners every step of the way. From benefits, to payroll, to HRIS, you name it. They care about their customers, they do a great job, and I would recommend them to anyone in Canada looking for an all-in-one solution (and I have, many times!)
At this point, I don't have anything to point out. Early on, there were small nitpicks with a few different modules, but those have long since been addressed by their outstanding product team.
Humi solves our need for a Canadian benefit broker as well as a reliable payroll system. I trust that the system is setting up our team for success, devoid of errors. I trust the benefits team to do what's best for our people and making sure we're supporting them first and foremost, rather than just selling us solutions to problems we're not facing.
Humi is very easy to use. We switched from Ceridian and Rise for two years and very happy so far. The customer service is great!
The pro-rata calculations for bi-monthly payroll salary increases or new hires are wrong. I contacted customer service and management and they have not budged. There is no integration with any of the top benefit providers. There is no integration with ETH BC.
