Affordable, full-service 401(k) plans for SMBs
Our business started using Human Interest to help us offer a 401K plan that was compliant with a new state law. They integrate with our payroll software so everything is simple and seamless. They also helped us onboard employees who are less comfortable with technology.
None yet, we started using it a few months ago and have had no problems so far.

It is very easy to understand and create a 401K plan. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. This was very helpful given this was my first time creating a 401K plan for my small businesses.
Sometimes it take a little bit of time to hear back from folks when you are starting up, but I was working with a financial advisor so it may have been assumed he was answering those questions. I also wish I knew about it sooner so I would not have had to go through an advisor.
Easy set up, maintenance, and low cost solution for a 401K for small businesses. Make it more worth it.
Human Interest was very helpful in making our transition from a 403b to a 401k. Their team was very knowledgeable and was able to answer our questions as well as offer insight. It is wonderful to have a Retirement Plan Advisor at our deposal. The software is user-friendly and it integrates with our payroll software. We are very please with Human Interest!
The only dislike that I am currently having is that the billing invoice for the services is not received prior to the automatic debt to our account. I have made a case with this issue and expecting it to be resolved soon.

I like the friendly communication, fast set up and implementation with my current payroll provider. I makes our life so easy that we gave the info requested and they did all the work behind. Everything was set in time to run payroll at the target date. I recommend it to use it.
There are no thingfs that I dislik becauseall the process was as we were explained.

Human Interest is easy to use for employees of all ages, and the implementation was simply with everyone especially those who have never used a 401K before. Integrating the program was easy for all of my staff, and they could pick their selections with the help of the system and didn't have to question it all too much.
I would said the only downside so far is the customer service response so far, i haven't been completely please. It was great until it was fully implemented, now there is a lack of support.
They are teaching younger employees how to easily save for their retirement without having to think. Human Interest generates their own selections based off of their age, income, and more. It has been great for all my staff.
It was so easy for us to get our company on board with Human Interest. We are a small non-profit and retirement plans felt completely out of reach as an option we could offer to our employees. Because it is so affordable, we are even able to contribute to their accounts, something that would have been impossible with other options. The implementation was simple and they helped us figure out the right plan for our group.
It was a little confusing at first to figure out if we needed a 401(k) or 403(b) plan, but we got there together. Our implementation specialist was really helpful and patient as we navigated through the differences.
We historically have not been able to offer retirement savings options to our employees. As a result, some higher caliber candidates did not pursue employement with us.
My favorite aspect is how simple and cost effective Human Interest was to set up and get going.

Very easy to use platform. Easy implementation due to integration with my current payroll system. Very easy for my team to use and make changes.
Was confusing at first that the deductions come out as the % of each check rather than % of salary as a whole. This was an adjustment for my team at first but did not take long to adjust to.

After years of wanting to, Human Interest made the process of establishing a 403B for our 501(c)(3) private school a reality. The staff were more than helpful, they made the setup process and employee engagement incredibly easy.
It took our financial staff a couple payment cycles to realize we had to verify the withholding calculations and not just rely on Human Interest to run the percentage specified by the contributors.
As a small 501(C)(3) we were always hesitant to pursue our own deferred investment account. Human Interest was a great find offering a well thought out administrator and investor interface. We have a much better well rounded employment package to offer our iemployees. As a small private school the procespect of funding a retirement pension was not doable. But a deferred investment account has been a most positive benefit to our faculty and staff. It helps in recruitment and retention.
