It is easy to use and transparent for the end-users. Once setup there is just not much to do in terms of administration. End users don't notice anything special with their stored files but the IT team has saved more than 50% on diskspace and backup media by storing the inactive files in Azure. The cost for Hubstor is 100% based on the compressed data in Azure. (a markup of the azure cost - and that includes everything (no seperate fees for support)
An auto-update feature is in the works, but not yet available. If you have many sites and fileservers to manage it can be a job sometimes to update the components. (It is not that often that is required - mostly needed if you want to use some new features).
Our unstructured data on fileservers was growing harder and harder, which meant investing in bigger storage, more file servers. And resulted in bigger backup jobs. Restoring in case of a disaster was becoming next to impossible because of the amount of data. By backing up all data in Azure using Hubstor, and stubbing the files transparantly via very flexible policies we were able to reduce our on-premise file server storage more than 50%. Backups are faster. And because of the way the data is stored, protected from cryptolocker. Also a very fast recovery is possible by restoring large sets of data with stubs (and restoring the actual data in the background)
Easy to setup and to manager and give a good dashboard overview.
Some time the user interface response slow when browsing files.
Reducing storage cost.
I like the immediate response from the support team on any query / concern / issue.
It's quite expensive in the competitive market.
It's an easy to use, one stop all-in-one solution for archive management. Support team is readily available and care for every concern / query that customer might have.
It's an easy solution for various archiving projects in our organization, such as - Emails, Invoices, ERP etc.
A shell around our Azure disc-space to make this particular part as an archive.
I would like to add files myself instead of an agent.
HubStor is much cheaper to store our many Tera Bytes of data then we did on the on-premise fileshares before.
