5 stars for Homestead!

So, giving an unbiased review can sometimes be tough for me. I have both Homestead and GoDaddy so I'll use that comparison.I can say with confidence that while you'll pay a bit more (for example you'll pay about 275 annually for the Business package with Homestead vs around 175 annually for a similar package with GoDaddy's builder called GoCentral) if you're building one site, the Business package with Homestead you get unlimited sites! So you just have to pay for the domains. Homestead WebsiteBuilder has a bit more functionality than GoDaddy's GoCentral, but it can be a bit more difficult to learn. It's not hard by any means, but still a steeper curve than GoCentral. Many (if not all, honestly) of the "HORRIBLE OMG" reviews are gonna be user error and people that don't care to manage their account or are just lazy or incompetent. If you run a business, it's your job as the business owner to maintain and manage your online presence. If you get charged for a renewal and you don't know about it, THAT IS YOUR OWN FAULT.Some call Homestead the "Fisher Price" of hosting because it doesn't have any advanced functionality like wordpress hosting, database or file management. If you're just needing a basic site or to sell a few products online and have little or no tech knowledge but you're willing to learn, homestead is going to be PERFECT for you. If you need that advanced functionality, Homestead isn't for you. Then again you probably already know that. AS FOR THEIR SUPPORT: Here's the deal with that. Call in during business hours. It's not hard. Talking to someone on a phone is not a difficult process. It's a small team so you gotta be patient when on hold. Don't be an assh*le to the rep and I *PROMISE YOU* they'll go out of their way to help you. I've always had VERY positive experiences with them.

"Homestead software used in our business"

What do you like best about Homestead?

The best I like that this software is easy to use. And for recording, tracking and reporting mall sales by dealer using point of sale or batch is excellent

What do you dislike about Homestead?

I don not have anything which I currently disline.

It is great for recording and tracking and reporting sales . And this i consider that it is excellent and beneficial if we use it

The ease of building my website and the ease of switching over my domain, they made it super simple for me to do.

What do you dislike about Homestead?

Nothing so far I haven’t had any bad experiences with the company or products at this point and I hope not to in the future

Have used them for years - VERY happy!

I have had several websites created with Homestead.com, for many years. I can ALWAYS get someone on the phone, the sitebuilder that I have downloaded to my computer is wonderful, the themes are great, and I could not be more pleased. Well, I could - there are rumors that they are going to discontinue support for the computer downloaded Intuit SiteBuiler, and I wish they would reconsider that. It is so easy to work on my sites at my leisure, and open several pages to edit, at once. Other than that, I love them!

What do you like best about Homestead?

Homestead is a great software that enables people in our industry to flourish in our creativity. There are so many options to choose from to get the details you are looking for. This program surpasses many other design softwares and allows you to design homes efficiently. I’ve used this and I recommend it to people who desire to go to the Next level. Best for intermediate and experts.

What do you dislike about Homestead?

Considering that I’m not an expert in designing with this software, it’s quite a bit of a learning curve.

What problems is Homestead solving and how is that benefiting you?

I used it for personal use, to map out the vision of my future performing arts center.

"Fast, easy, and great looking site "

What do you like best about Homestead?

The easy to use and edit templates make getting my information to customers faster. And the email and customer service is great

What do you dislike about Homestead?

With all things fast and easy you have to sacrifice some functionality or aesthetics. But you get what you pay for.

What problems is Homestead solving and how is that benefiting you?

Getting our information to potential customers, taking in customer information and also linking to our payment collections for customers to pay in a timely manner faster than the traditional written check.

"Homestead has great hosting, but everything else is lacking."

What do you like best about Homestead?

I like the cheap options for hosting. They have a great plan to use that helps you get started with a site for cheap.

What do you dislike about Homestead?

They really lacked in templates and the amount that you can customize your site. It makes it hard to have a site that is truly different and can stand out.

What do you like best about Homestead?

Homestead provides modern Templates and excellent support via phone. They are using Websitebuilder as their builder. It's a very helpful tool to develop a website.

What do you dislike about Homestead?

The templates here are not mobile responsive, you have to use another builder to make your website responsive and you have to pay a fee for that. The cost is very high.

What problems is Homestead solving and how is that benefiting you?

When I want to make a website very fast, this tool is very helpful, with their templates and other features, I can develop a website in a short time than with others builders.

I like Homestead!

We have about 10 websites on Homestead. We find their 800# support people pretty good. It does have some minor limitations but we like it. The service is reliable. We are not crazy about the online sitebuilder and prefer to use the sitebuilder on laptops, but they continue to support both platforms. It's not bleeding edge but you can get a good looking site with good support for a reasonable cost.
