First off their customer service is amazing, we have been working with their team for a while now and they still amaze me with their speed and how helpful they are. Secondly, the product works great, they maintain it on a regular basis, and have custom scripts to import with 90% of the work done for you. I have implemented scripts from their GitHub integration, as well as a few scripts of my own. Easy to do, and amazing to see in action. The audit reports work great, I can see who did what, when, and if it worked. The fact that I can sign into the dashboard outside of my domain, see audits, make changes, and get results is mind-blowing.
Some issues on upgrades cause you to have to reboot the service on the DC, but honestly not a major deal. I just created a task to restart the service nightly, not really needed, but I just wanted to be covered.
Some of the features make perfect sense to use but are hard to explain to an end-user that is not tech-savvy. For example, in account creation, there is the option to have the account expire, which is easy to understand what it does, but apparently not, we have had to remove this option from our script as our HR department would mess this up. Not an issue with the product, more of an issue with the department.
It can take a while to hear back from a rep if you are working on something, as many people are moving over to HelloID now. But when they do get back to you, they are helpful and make sure you get the answers you are looking for.
Train your end-users to understand the functions of what each part does, it will help with a lot of the headaches you could encounter.
We wanted our HR department to create users easier, with a notification sent to them upon success. We also utilized the ability to have our field techs do password resets, account unlocks, and more without directly touching Active Directory. This helps in minimizing the chance of someone messing up in AD, something that I am definitely happy to have.
That students can use single sign-on for various programs and do not have to learn several usernames and passwords.

The project manager spent a lot of time with us, getting everything working the way we wanted and needed it. Since HelloID is in the cloud, we don't have to worry about updating it.
Creating forms requires a bit of programming knowledge to execute. A GUI builder for creating forms that would output automatic Powershell code would be most helpful.
This product replaced an offboarding/onboarding process from 2009 or 11 years ago that we were using. We can now call technical support with any issues versus using a custom solution created by a former employee.
How simple it is. You set it up and then you can forget about it. I like how it automates the integration between my SIS and AD and Google. It stands above any other software like this I have used.
From the short time I have used this product, there is nothing to dislike about it.
It is the best product I have purchased this year. I have recommended it to other school systems.

EASY TO SET UP SSO SERVICE
Being able to have a SSO service.
Ease of use and access to support service for help with projects and automation. The SSO piece is great for our k-2 students and allows them to sign in with their Google Account and have access to a dashboard of SSO Apps. In my opinion, you will not work with a company that is more professional in sales, implementation, and post support than this company. They are the best in the businesss.
There is nothing I dislike about Hello ID. Hello ID sales and post support are amazing. If there are tweaks or fixes that need to be made in your system support is very fast to respond.
Discuss your user management process internally and then talk with Hello ID to discuss how How HelloID can improve all those processes. Also, be sure to discuss the accuracy of people doing this vs the HelloID automation.
We are making our k-2 students have an easier time with SSO into several of our apps their teachers use. One-click logins once SSO is set up. Hello ID provisioning is used to automate all our student accounts with Google and our local active directory. Our source data is PowerSchool SIS. This is like having an additional employee.
The control we have over so many different logins, all centrally managed by one directory sync, is by far our favorite feature.
We wish it had broader integration with outside vendors. There is a way to add generic applications; but many 3rd party companies still aren't familiar with the platform.
Support is excellent. The agents are speedy in responding and very helpful. Pricing is another plus; there are no hidden fees and escalating costs.
We solved logins in the lower grades with QR codes; and eliminated confusion over multiple logins.
