I think probably the best part about Heartland is the customer service.
I can't really think of anything that I dislike about Heartland.
Heartland is a very great solution for managing our voluntary benefits deductions.
The part I like best about this software is that it is very user friendly. Our rep was very thorough when going over this program with us, which definitely made it easier on us when it was time to run payments.If there are ever any issues, a representative is available to help assist the problem (which is rare - have not experienced many - so far so good!). If you're looking for a great program to use, I highly recommend choosing this product!
The only part I do not like about Heartland payment, is that when a card has expired, you have to re-add the card in full if the security code has changed. This site only allows you to edit the name, address and expiration date. Thankfully, we do not have too many questions that we have to do this for, but it can be a hassle if needs to be done.
If you're looking for a program that has everything under one page, this is for you!
No problems so far, my company has enjoyed this software. One feature we love is when a customer's credit card is about to expire, it sends an email to the email address on file to let them know to update it.
Website is easy to use. Able to retrieve past payment easily.
I have not complaints about the Heartland website.

It was not integrated with our software at the time and it would have made it so much better.
Receiving and collecting payments
It’s simple to use and has always been reliable for me. It even lets you securely store the card numbers for frequent clients’ which makes things so much easier for both the client and clinic.
Not sure if it has an app, but we only use it via the web, so that can have its own issues at no fault of Heartland.
It allows us to safely take payments from our clients over the phone so we don’t have to be exposed to each other in these times of covid.
Heartland is a good alternative to an actual credit/debit card machine. It is easily accessible thru any device via the internet. It is secure and quick when needing to collect payments. The setup does not require much training or support. It is easy to navigate when needing to print receipt, cancel payment, or any other function needed. Multiple users can be logged on at the same time. It is portable, since you are not tied down to an actual machine.
The only downfall to using heartland for payments as opposed to using an actual machine is that it requires data entry. This leaves room for error in copying off of the card. It also takes more time compared to simply entering a chip into a machine.

Portable payments are able to be accepted throughout the whole office, I can take payments for patients in their room and make their experience more private and personal.
Payments come out fast; before I know it, I have collected over 200,000 for the day!
Chargebacks are too easy! I hate to get chargeback reports from them when the customer, per the contract, shouldn't have the ability to do it.
Once we moved the business to the US from London, it quickly became our go-to payment system with very few problems to collect money per our contracts.
