"Hazel is useful for a novice, and amazing for a pro"
What do you like best about Hazel?

I like that hazel will automatically organize things for me based on some very simple parameters. It automatically files away my scanned documents, sorts them into folders by date. It keeps my desktop and "working" folders clean so that I don't have a constantly expanding load of files on in either place. Staying neat helps me to stay productive. I like its potential toward automation and how you can trick it into doing something based on the contents of a file - scan the file to see whether a certain phrase appears, and then give it an if / then "to do" item.

What do you dislike about Hazel?

There's a bit of a learning curve to really get into it, and in order to make that learning curve you almost have to seek out and pay for third party help from someone like MacSparky or AsianEfficiency or elsewhere. Otherwise, it's pretty great. Even if you don't do anything with it other than organizing your desktop or your "working" contents folder (or downloads folder, or anything like that), it's still useful and worth the price.

Recommendations to others considering Hazel:

Honestly, you're probably going to need to read up on the uses of the product before it becomes genuinely useful to you. There are some free resources to do this. you might also consider the hazel subreddit, or mac power users communities.

What problems is Hazel solving and how is that benefiting you?

"Pretty great tool for managers to do regular check ins"
What do you like best about Hazel?

The slack integration is very seamless and makes it extremely easy to request and submit feedback/updates to managers

What do you dislike about Hazel?

Sometimes the notifications glitch and get repeated, especially the "feedback replies by manager"

What problems is Hazel solving and how is that benefiting you?

Lack of regular checking leading to a disconnect between managers and employees is the main problem we solve. The main benefit is simply better communication between managers and their reports.

"Decent"
What do you like best about Hazel?

Communication to managers about anything that happened during the week and any suggestions I have

What do you dislike about Hazel?

Hazel was actually great to use. I'm not sure if they have this feature but having anonymous submission would be a nice add on as well.

Recommendations to others considering Hazel:

It is good to give feedback to managers and for leadership to see the overall experience for each of their employees

What problems is Hazel solving and how is that benefiting you?

It's nice to give managers feedback on feelings
