Easy to use, great user interface, and very affordable

I used Guestboard to invite, plan, and organize a group of guys for a friend's bachelor party. It was extremely easy to set-up my board and invite people. I always hated planning group events through email and/or texts because things got lost and people never participated but this solved both of those problems. Their mobile app was very convenient for people to get notifications that I (or others) sent out and for them to contribute. All in all, a great platform that I would definitely use again for other gatherings.

"Intuitive and organized free event planning/communication tool for any type of event."
What do you like best about Guestboard?

The thing I liked best was the modular functions that it provides. They were easy to activate and allowed me to customize my event to my needs. The most helpful features were: the message board/chat to connect with everyone, the ability to book our groups' Airbnb through the platform, and the shared resource center to share pertinent information. Lastly, the UX design and color scheme are sleek and elegant so you can use this for your bachelor party or even your wedding.

What do you dislike about Guestboard?

The only downside is the native mobile app isn't ready yet because that would make it a lot more convenient and accessible to connect with your guests while they are on their devices; but I believe they are releasing one soon. In the meantime, it is still accessible through your mobile devices' browser.

Recommendations to others considering Guestboard:

It's free, so there's no reason you shouldn't try it out for your next event!

What problems is Guestboard solving and how is that benefiting you?

With a group of over 50+ people, the benefits our event found was the elimination of lengthy/unorganized email chains that are a burden to sift through with so many people. Guestboard allowed us to be much more organized when sharing resources with the group and notifying them about updates/changes. Additionally, the "Deals" section within the platform provided our users with 20%+ coupons to several relevant brand and products for our event.

"Easy to use"
What do you like best about Guestboard?

The program is easy to get started and walks you through the steps to set up an event. Pretty user-friendly.

What do you dislike about Guestboard?

Can be a little pricey compared to other programs, but it does have more features than other programs as well, so it depends on what you are looking for.

Recommendations to others considering Guestboard:

Explore the features; they have some nice ones.

What problems is Guestboard solving and how is that benefiting you?

Looking for nicer event planning spaces, message boards for attendees, etc. The program has been useful with employers, and they seem to like the more personalized touch.

"Affordable, flexible, group planning solution."
What do you like best about Guestboard?

We used this for a corporate retreat to keep everyone informed and work out the logistics of travel & topics of what we'd cover each day (using the schedule).

I know that there were more tools to choose from, but we decided on Chat, Schedule, and Checklist. The group of about 30 of us enjoyed Guestboard because it was a great middle ground between a giant group email and more expensive planning solutions that have a large learning curve.

Customer service was extremely responsive when we had a question about permission roles, and while everyone was generally expecting them, the invitations were clean and visually appealing.

It's a very adaptable tool, and I can see it being used for a wide variety of events.

What do you dislike about Guestboard?

There were a few functions that were available on the Guestboard web app, but not on the iOS app (at least at the time of writing this). Otherwise, everything went smoothly.

Recommendations to others considering Guestboard:

If you're hosting an event that requires (or would benefit from) your attendees interacting, sharing links, or otherwise networking in some way, this seems to be an easy to use, low-cost option. However, if you're looking for a robust event management software (with metrics, check-in technology, etc), you might want to spend more on an enterprise-level software.

What problems is Guestboard solving and how is that benefiting you?

Managing attendees and fostering engagement was the main problem solved. We needed something that was part digital invitation, part planning hub, and this was it.

All the important information is also sent via styled emails, which is helpful for those who may not be as engaged on the event board.
