Having the ability to have multiple components of database management, calendar/task list, newsletters, financial tracking etc.
Not being able to download all statements to view before sending. I currently have to send one by one. Also that I have to create separate accounts for each full membership in an organization
We haBe some issues with getting renewal or new members to communicate with our national system. It's not a huge issue just an ongoing issue we discuss
Once you enter all membership information, it creates a system that is easy to use. Our annual dues billing and tracking down late payments has never been easier, and maintaining our membership database and directory for the website is incredibly smooth.
The learning curve was rough because there are so many aspects to it, but the company did their onboarding quite well. However, when I have questions, it is somewhat difficult to find an answer, especially for the tough questions that aren't in the FAQ. I've resorted to using the Wiki to find answers. And it's especially tough to find someone to talk to.
We had difficult keeping the membership directory online updated, and now changes and revisions are instantaneous--and can even be done by the members themselves. We are at a point in our year where over 60% of dues have been paid for the year (renewal is annually in January). Historically, we have never been at this point this early in the year.
The convenience in having all our systems in one program.

There are 2 qualities about GZ that make them superior. 1 - Customer Service team is beyond FABULOUS! I have never been left hanging with no answer; they are calm; they listen; they ask questions to understand the issue so they can provide the best answer; and most importantly, they care! 2 - The online Wiki is one of the best resources I have ever used or seen! Kudos to GZ for taking time to provide a document that shows you step by step instructions and examples.
My one dislike would be the reporting when it comes to actual revenue recognized for a data range entered. Many of my nonprofit members have 2 or more memberships with us. Therefore, when running this revenue report, it shows them bifurcated and with the discount if there was one. It makes it very hard to pull out what was actually paid and what the actual dues were before the discount was applied.
consider the full package... meaning you are buying software but you are also buying the knowledge and customer service which you will rely on to help you use the system to the best of your ability. GZ offers the best support I have ever experienced and they have provided me the care and support I would expect from a colleague or staff member.
- Revenue recognition which I have an open ticket with GZ
- Set up of corporate accounts so we have related contacts and the money is applied accordingly
- Invoicing is a breeze!
- Some reporting is a bit tricky but the GZ staff is always there to explain and assist
I personally like how I was able to customize things in GrowthZone that fit my needs for my role at work!

Reports are so easy to run and so much quicker than before I used GrowthZone. I'm also able to add all of my policy information for insurance policies and attach files and emails,

Some limitations here and there but there is a user voice to voice enhancements and upgrade. I believe they are understaffed just like so many other companies so it is challenging
