Gotransverse as a platform has so many features that make it a standout in the SaaS billing space. One area where the platform excels above its peers is its complex usage rating engine. I am yet to run into a business requirement that the native functionality cannot solve in the platform.
While the General Ledger functionality is excellent and allows for a lot of flexibility, it currently creates bloat in posting rules, especially if you have several usage categories. This bloat can make rule management a bit cumbersome. There are also some performance issues related to data replication to the (snowflake) premier data access which causes some inconsistency in report data. This is largely related to the sheer volume of data in our instance, but the Gotransverse team is actively working on improvements to this.
The platform has a lot of features and can do a lot of things. An adequately designed architecture is essential to tap into the full potential of the platform. Take the time to understand the nuances and best practices before jumping into implementation. Also, if moving from another billing system, don't try to replicate your legacy processes; evaluate if Gotransverse can solve those business needs in different ways.
As a high-growth company, we are constantly supporting the launch of new products with varying pricing strategies. We require a fast turnaround for our go-to-market, and Gotransverse meets these needs. In addition, we require a platform that can sustain the high volumes of real-time transactions without any performance issues that can impact customers.

I have been using it for 5 years now so I know how to integrate it very quickly and it has recently added new features relevant to global subscription billing. It has the flexibility to provide multiple solutions for every use case.

Have a clear understanding of your in-house business and back-office processes first before undergoing an implementation. The success of the implementation hinges on clear requirements, solution design and a shared understanding on all sides.
We were able to onboard new revenue lines onto our Gotransverse solution to help consolidate across our organization. Where we have found significant gaps or delays - we are now focusing on developing these functionalities internally or with other partners. We find Gotransverse reliable in monthly invoicing and processing of orders, but many of our solutions have misused existing Gotransverse functionality which we now carry as technical debt.

- Clumsy search function on Account Search page - searches must be exact and fully typed out, which is frustrating

I wouldn't say I'm solving problems with Gotransverse itself. GTV is simply a supplementary billing system that our company uses in tandem with Netsuite - it doesn't innovate or change up our billing processes, it simply exists in concert with Netsuite as a means of tracking our clients who are billed on direct GBD usage with our most popular media buying product.
