Google Optimize allows marketers to perform perfect A/B test while sending data to Google Analytics
there is a big limit: you can perform only 5 A/B test contemporarly
I use Google Optimize for CRO of Websites and Landing Pages
It is really easy to use, especially to improve your LTR in a safe way. I like the fact that I can gradually increase the percentage of traffic going on the test page, so that I can safely monitor the performance.
It could affect your loading time, especially when you test more than one variant at the time on the same page.
Finally an easy way to test different version of the same webpage. It is incredibile how little details can affect user experience and LTR. Thanks to this tool you can easily improve your conversions, better understand what your target likes and values.
Google Optimize is very tightly integrated with Google Analytics and Adwords. This allows running A/B Tests, Split URL test and multivariate tests for different Google Adwords Campaign that we run. Due to Google Analytics Integration existing audiences and goals can be used to run site experiments.
The dashboard of Google Optimize is very easy to use and experiments can be setup quickly.
I did not like their website editor. It's a bit clunky and not easy to use. Limit on the measurement of goals per experiment which is capped at three goals is a bit disappointing
I would recommend people to use Google Optimize when you are just starting with A/B test instead of buying expensive paid tools for running experiments on your website.
Google Optimize enables us to create personalized experiences for our users and run multiple tests on our website to improve our Conversion Rate. Combining Google Optimize with Google Analytics has allowed us to target experiments to a particular set of our audience. This helps us to improve our conversion rate for different audience segments.
After the pains of Optimizely X's buggy launch, we switched over to Google Optimize. The integration with GA audiences as well as ability to push out to unlimited impressions means that we can get results faster than before.
While it gets most of the job done, there's still a few pain points such as lack of true personalisation functions and categorisations. There's also no image upload functionality and the preview modes can be a bit hit and miss.
We're always testing and learning and Google Optimize helps us get there efficiently.
with tag manager and analytics makes everything simple
it's a simple redirect and sometimes it is not sharp enough
when using other google products it is the best solution for low budgets
I can test landing pages for free and use my usual conversion triggers
Built on top of Google Analytics, which makes the data and interface much more familiar. Analysis of testing data is displayed in a more intuitive way than many other platforms. Also the ability to choose Goals in Google Analytics as the goals for conversion experiments.
My one complaint is the inability to pause or alter once a test has been launched, but hard to complain about that since it keeps the tests honest.
For pricing and functionality, Google Optimize with a Hotjar account seems to provide a better technology stack for a lower cost.
Conversion rate optimization for direct response product sales.
It is FREE. We have the ability to integrate with Analytics for better tracking/reporting.
The only thing we dislike is the time it takes for testing - significantly longer than previous platforms we have used BUT because its free it makes up for this.
I do not know how much we were previously paying but we are now saving money on this, immediately having an impact on our business. Since using Google Optimize we haven't encountered any bugs/glitches which is a huge peace of mind.
Integration with Google Analytics, price
Tests seem to take a long time to reach statistical significance. Reports aren't always easy to understand.
I would suggest trying this before using a paid product.
Google Optimize has saved us ~$400/mo, since it was able to replace our previous a/b testing software. In addition to being free, it is more stable and feature-rich than other software I've used.
Google Optimize is the most popularly used A/B Testing tool for tracking and comparing website’s traffic and conversion rate of campaigns, and is free of cost. Google Optimize analysis can identify websites performing poorly with various techniques such as Funnel visualization, referrers (where visitors came from), how long they stayed on the website and their geographical position. It also provides more advanced features including Custom Visitor segmentation. Google Optimize' Cohort analysis feature also helps to understand the behaviour of component groups of users apart from your user population, which is beneficial for successful implementation of a marketing strategy.

What do you like best?
I like that Google Optimize allows us to quickly add targeted messages to the site that we can change on the fly without engineering resources.
What do you dislike?
Sometimes that targeting doesn't have a corresponding way to line up with what we'd like to do and we need to use different systems instead.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Google Optimize has allowed us to add scheduled, targeted messages and run small A/B tests on our site without waiting for engineering resources to be available. We've been able to do a lot more marketing and get important messaging out to our customers during a critical time period.
