I like how I can easily see and access all my files and tools
I do not like their new upgrade that you need subscription to access most features
I get to save as much papers as I can without compromising note taking and I can easily bring my iPad anywhere, anytime
It is simply the best app for taking notes, also you can collaborate as if it was a shared board, you can also record everything on the screen as you explain what you are writing
The only thing i dislike is that it does not have a rule, you can make straight lines but you can not know in which angle you are drawing your lines, which is very important when you are drawing graphics.
I teach virtual math classes to young children, so this app allows me to show them everything I do in real time and they understand more easily this way. Also I take notes in every meeting i have and it is easy to follow and to complement with pictures
About GoodNotes what I like the most is the intuitive interface, very user friendly. Is suitable for people of different ages, because you don't need previous App experience in order to use it full.
If you want to use all the features, you need to pay a suscription. I prefer apps that you buy paying once. I understand that the team behind the app need money but I try to buy instead of suscribe. Is just a personal point of view.
GoodNotes os offering a good and creative note-taking experience, and they create also a very big and intetesting online community. Is helping people who like to use an Ipad and the Apple Pencil for note-taking.
I like the fact that there are unlimited pages and editing offered in notebooks. I also love how smooth it is to write using my pencil.
I totally love the product but if I have o point one thing, I would love if the feature of adding sub sections in each notes is present.
Taking notes and drawing figures, colors easily
Very simple and intuitive. The search engine is amazing, I can search my handwriting with a high level of precision, despite I'm not the best writing person.
The interface for files is little outdated, would like a better way to organize my pdf
Easy to read, underline and script note during formation. Very easy to find answer afterwards toward the evaluation test. Sync with drive is perfect.
My folders and files are well-organised, and I can easily find everything. Writing in Goodnotes is also very smooth and a good experience.
I would love a feature to be able to easily find my pdf/book annotations
It helps me to write different notes on different subjects, and helps me to easily access and arrange these files and folders.
Goodnotes gives me the ability to write on my iPad using my stylus. So I can write in 'notebooks' and fill them up with pages of my handwritten stuff. I can even draw basic shapes. I can also do that with PDFs -- these could be any sort of PDF documents, and I can highlight text, annotate text. It is brilliant! I can add 'stickers' which are basically png images of stuff, and write on those stickers, to make my annotations look even special.
I also use it for digital planning and project planning. I like to track what I did during my day, and plan out my week. I also like to journal my thoughts during the day. It is a form of Digital Bullet Journaling, if I may say so. And Goodnotes is a great place to do that -- I buy a "digital planner" from Etsy, and I use it in Goodnotes.
Another brilliant feature is that it recognizes my handwriting and can convert my handwritten text into typed text. It really is such a helpful feature, especially if you want to email out your notes to someone, and don't want to type out all those handwritten notes.
I also like that they have an app for my iPhone and Mac and that I can easily sync between them to see my stuff on either of my devices.
When you have more than one file open, you can see them in the tabs. And you can close them too. Except for the one last file. There's no way to close that file. It frustrates me.
Another thing that ought to be there, but isn't, is the ability to layer stuff. Say, for example, I write something and then I want to put the image of a sticky note behind that text, I can't do that. Typically, you'd do something like "send to back" or "bring to front" to arrange your layers. But not in this app. Here, you need to put in the image first, and then type stuff over it, and that's that. You can't adjust the sequence of layers.
And that then carries over onto another frustrating part. I can select and move text -- except when it is on one such image. In that case, I will have to move the entire image! Sigh! Why can't I just select which layers I want to move or copy? I would love to see these feature requests show up in the app -- it would really make my life easier, writing in this app.
Goodnotes is the best among all the current iPad writing / PDF notation apps that are out there. Even with these few things that can get frustrating, the app is still worth buying. I am hoping to see more features come in, and that is what keeps me going.
I can read, highlight, annotate, markup my PDF files. It really is very helpful, especially with some ebooks that I have that are in the PDF format.
I can create digital notebooks filled with my handwritten stuff. I always wanted to be able to do that -- it helps with saving paper, and cuts down all sorts of costs (notebooks, pens, inks, whathaveyou).
More than that, it helps me carry it all with me in my iPad, making it a lighter burden to bear.
I think how easy GoodNotes is to learn to use. It's extremely user-friendly and works great with my iPad/Apple Pencil combination. I'm actually ditching my paper planner this year to incorporate more files in GoodNotes.
I'm not sure if it's not an option or if I haven't found it yet, but I wished it had the scribble to type text option in GoodNotes. That is one thing that I really liked about the competitor's option.
For me, GoodNotes is becoming my go-to location. I've created notebooks/folders to store multiple notes, plus I even have a category for all of my church notes. Now, I'm not having to look for my work notebook, church notebook, Doctor notebook, etc., because everything is organized in my GoodNotes.
The ease of use and the real paper simulation
I use it for note-taking, writing books, my kids drawing, wireframing...almost anything that requires a paper and a pen
I almost like everything about it that's why I use it since 2016 till 2021
Note-Taking mainly and sketching

It's easy to use and I like its setup and visual appearance. I also like how I can change files from pdf, photos, links
It's been running slow but then again I have so many files in it it's my most used notes app. I also don't like how when I search a document I can't move it to a different location from the search....maybe I'm not doing it right though
Note taking, scheduling, file organizing, ease of access to documents, ease of grouping documents in files or folders fairly quickly
