GoLinks is a popular tool for shortening and sharing internal URLs, praised by users for its ease of use and efficiency in streamlining information access. Users find it particularly helpful for quickly finding frequently accessed resources, reducing reliance on bookmarks and enhancing collaboration. However, GoLinks faces limitations in its search functionality and a lack of personalized or private link options. While users appreciate its simplicity, some desire more advanced features and improved integration with other tools.

Simple, fast and everyone can create links and share to others.
When there is no match you get recommendations as well.
I haven't noticed any downside so far after 2 years of usage.
It basically shortens the URLs/links in a way that is easy to remember and easy to share with others.
No more looking for long url links. I can actually spend time doing real work.
Nothing as yet. I hope they don't change things up with all this success.
I can easily locate pages using the shortened urls.
It streamlines the process of finding the exact link that you need. Since that's very relevant for our product, where tours are shared via URLs, this was the perfect solution for our entire team to be able to find relevant examples!
Nothing! Golink has been a fantastic product and I'm excited to see how it continues to evolve!
keeping a good director of all revenat links and information in one place.
The parameter support in the go url helps a lot to access dynamic web pages and make life much easier.
Thought it is easy to write down a short go link, sometimes we want to get a golink for the current webpage. There is no easy way for conversion.
No longer need to remember long url. I can define the short version myself.
I recently started using GoLinks, and I must say it's been a game-changer for our team! The simplicity and efficiency of creating short, memorable links for our frequently used URLs have significantly improved our workflow.
One of the things I love about GoLinks is how easy it is to set up and manage. The user interface is intuitive, making it a breeze to create custom short links that are easy to remember. This has saved us so much time compared to digging through long, complex URLs.
Collaboration has also become smoother with GoLinks. The ability to share links with team members and track usage analytics has enhanced communication and allowed us to better understand what resources are most valuable to our team.
While GoLinks integrates with many popular tools, there might be certain applications or platforms your team uses that are not currently supported. Lack of integration with specific tools could be a drawback for those who heavily rely on such applications.
We have tons of documents that folks spend much time searching for. Instead of running multiple queries in our wikis or digging through previous conversations, we can create quick short links that take us exactly where we need to go.
GoLinks makes it so easy to create easy to remember links that make it easy to share and remember with team members. I don't have to memorize or boomark long links, I just need to remember go/whatever to find whatever resource I need.
Not much negative to say, it is a simple tool that does its job very well! Maybe being able to access it through an external VPN?
Collaboration and shared resource management.
I use GoLinks to get to lots of work-related spaces that I need to frequently access. When I'm out of office, I like to create a page with all of my out of office details and then set the GoLink URL to 'go/[my name]-ooo' and put it in my Slack name/status so that my coworkers know where to go/who to contact while I'm out. That's just one of many use cases for Go Links!
There are no downsides that I've come across just yet.
GoLinks makes accessing internal work resources easier. We set intuitive GoLink URLs to access the frequently visited pages and/or useful resources.
I also use it to house all of my out of office details on a single page for my coworkers to access while I'm out (set the URL to go/[my name]-ooo and drop it in my Slack name/status so my coworkers can easily access my coverage details while I'm out).
Whenever i need something, i simply write "go/<whatever>" and someone already defined the actual link to it.
I would like to get suggestions when there are no link attached (ex, when i write something in prulural instead of single)
instead of remembering full address, i just need to write 1 word.
GoLinks makes it easy for your teams to share information. I used GoLinks heavily at Databricks as well as subsequent companies. I've gotten so used to using go/whatever that I even program my browser to go to specific websites when I type in go/website or anything like that at home.
It costs money so you can't really leverage it as an individual. It's only worth it if you're using it as a team. I also wish there was an easy way to make private go/links for my own consumption rather than sharing it out to the whole business.
I can easily see what websites are important for people in my organization and team.
