Patch Management for the devices on the network

I liked the vulnerability scanning and patch management feature of GFI Languard. It is a must-have tool for patch management.

Scanning is fast and accurate. The vulnerability list is comprehensive. The software is easy to install and configure. Report generated is good and very illustrative. Over all it is a powerful tool for system and network management.

The trial version of the software is only for 30 days. No free version available at the time I used the software. It has a dependency on MS sql. Rather than being dependant on MS sql, GFI Languard may move to some open source alternative.

GFI Languard is very useful for vulnerability assesment and penetration testing. May be used for large scale network management also. A must have for network security.

Network scanning for vulnerability analysis and timely patch management for maintaining a secure network at the workplace.

This package provides a lot of information about the systems on the network and where they stand against threats.

This version seems to be a bit more of a system resource hog that the version we used a few years back.

This product offers a wide range of utilities that you may have other products doing, but with this it is all within one console.

We are using this as a way of deploying software patches, deploying 3rd party software and removing 3rd party software.

Simple to use and once you have it setup the way you like it you do not have to check it all the time. I put computers in different groups and I have different scan and or patching schedules setup differently depending on the group I have them in. I also like that each group can have its own relay so all the computers do not have to all hit the same server to get their updates.

The interface can use updating, seems to be the same for years now, make make it more modern looking or more inline with MS 365 look? No real complaints for the actual software or its functions that I can say.

Problems that GFI LanGuard is helping with is time management and ensuring computers are patched up to keep them secure and to help safeguard our network and other connected computers and shared folders.

I like the automation the patching system offers as well as its ability to be very selective on which products can be patched and to what level. I also like to the ability to keep an eye on the full state of the machine

The interface of the product needs to be upgraded. It has a very basic feel to it without any of the visual aspects which could make navigation and understanding easier. There also tends to be problems with the service unless the server is restarted often

We are trying to solve the problem of alot of hours spent patching and maintaing large server estates. It has allowed us to be more productive with other tasks and can rely on it patching to the schedule we set out for it.
