User reviews for Geekbot highlight its effectiveness in facilitating asynchronous stand-up meetings, particularly for geographically dispersed teams. Discovered this tool through Slack and what a find! we mainly used it for automated daily standups and tracking team productivity and it gave us so much visibility on everyone's activities without the need to meet with them. I recommend 100%
the tool sis great. Maybe expand some analytics on the reports!
less meetings. more time for productivity
Geekbot is helping our cooperative to run in a hybrid way. We feel more connected since it shares with each others news, feelings, tasks, struggles and all these in a way that brings us closer.
I am impatiently waiting for some AI features
We run in a hybrid way without fixed working hours. The first task of each team member is to stand up. After that, we know that they are available, what are they busy with, how long they will be available. This allows us to create a business culture online, offline and hybrid.
As a marketing professional, I value seamless, transparent communication. Geekbot delivers just that. Monday standups have never been smoother; we all get a glimpse of the team’s priorities and discuss any possible issues. But what I love most is our “Friday Kudos”. It’s a simple yet powerful way to acknowledge the hard work of our team members. It ends our week on a positive note and encourages everyone to strive harder.
no complaints here. it has been a seamless experience
helping my team stay in sync
The configuability of the slack integration allows all of the teams that I work on and with to communicate status quickly and easily.
The bot's output in Slack can be a bit large and other messages happening around checkin time can get lost in the influx of large messages.
Daily and weekly status updates and checkins. We use Geekbot for team status updates to fascilitate cross team communication as well as for indivudual asyncronous daily status updates and checkins.
Geekbot is really easy to use and helped us to get valuable feedback from rest of the team

Daily standups
We use Geekbot for our daily standups. Every team member gets a reminder and the same three questions at the end of the day. The standups are automatically shared in a channel for the rest of the team to see. We have been using Geekbot this way for years and it works exceptionally well.
We have never had any issues with Geekbot. It has always worked. I just wish I had found it sooner.
Geekbot has standardized and automated our daily standups.
Very easy to configure, edit, and adapt. We use it for multiple teams that post on different channels, and it's very easy to set up every time.
We've been using it for 4 years or so now and we never looked elsewhere.
If folks have multiple reports/standups they need to do for different teams/projects, sometimes it can be confusing which one to pick, or orders get mixed if not answered to promptly. But it does become a training matter at some point.
Our scrum teams have their own standups, but with Geekbot, we do company wide written updates; this way from the CEO down to someone who doesn't belong to a particular stand up gets their voice heard and their blockers removed.
We were looking for a lightweight solution to collect feedback and reviews in a native tool we were already using. Geekbot's integration with Slack was perfect for our team and made getting everyone to use it, easy.
Would love to be able to call specific bots whenever we wanted so we could provide feedback anytime, instead of just during the scheduled Geekbot times/channels.
We wanted to collect feedback and do weekly check-ins for our team without signing them up for another tool. Once a week we ask for feedback and once a week we get 1:1 feedback for managers from their team.
I love using Geekbot to host my team's daily stand-ups. It fosters great communication within my team, helps me have a pulse on what is going on, and creates a fun atmosphere with emojis--increasing engagement from my team members.
I would say the least effective about this software is the reporting features. It doesn't capture the true mood of the team (with their newly released mood report), and I can't report on stuck items. I think with more work, the reporting tools can be really helpful.
Easier stand-ups! Instead of meetings, I have an effective pulse on what each of my team members are doing, what they are working on, and where they are stuck. Geekbot makes this so easy and fun, which is great for engagement.

Geekbot can facilitate daily standup meetings by asking team members for their updates and tasks. This can help teams stay organized and informed about each other's progress.
While Geekbot allows for customization of questions and workflows, some users have found that it may not offer the same level of flexibility and customization as other dedicated tools.
If you require advanced project planning features like Gantt charts, resource allocation, or complex task dependencies, Geekbot may not be the most suitable tool, as it focuses more on communication and daily updates.
