"Essential tool for small businesses"

What do you like best about FreeAgent?

Very intuitive and helpful features that mean it is possible for small companies to complete most accounting tasks in house. When it is time to share with a qualified accountant, it is concise and easy to share relevant information.

What do you dislike about FreeAgent?

It isn't immediately obvious when the connection with the bank account requires re-confirming, which means sometimes the bank account balance is not correct, although this is minor.

What problems is FreeAgent solving and how is that benefiting you?

As a small business I do not want the overhead of paying an accountant every month. Freeagent gives me the tools to do most bookkeeping myself easily, but is simple enough to get the books audited at the end of the year

"The Best Accounting Software... Ever!"

What do you like best about FreeAgent?

I've used Xero and QuickBooks, but FreeAgent is superior, especially for freelancers/consultants. It just makes sense. Easy to use, intuitive, and super fast, and they even send you tips to make sure you're on top of everything.

What do you dislike about FreeAgent?

Wish it would integrate with American Express credit cards.

What problems is FreeAgent solving and how is that benefiting you?

Saves me a considerable amount of time on accounting, and the easy-to-use UI means I can find transactions and receipts quickly without issue. A great piece of software that I can't live without.

"FreeAgent excellent online bookkeeping and accounting software"

What do you like best about FreeAgent?

FreeAgent keeps all my accounting and bookkeeping records in one easy accessible place. I use it to maintain invoices, debtors, bills, vat, estimates, bank transactions and profit and loss. I like the cash flow forecasting and the dashboard overview of my business's accounts. I would recommend it to any small business It also has a discount for referring a friend. It is also not an expensive subscription fee. The interface is neat and easy to use

What do you dislike about FreeAgent?

There is not much I don't like about FreeAgent. It would be nice to be able to split invoices for when a client pays a deposit and then another payment later. In the dashboard area -it would be nice to see a year-on-year comparison summary on the cash flow. I don't use the time tracking facility but use all the other functionality

Recommendations to others considering FreeAgent:

I would recommend Free Agent to any small business owner who is looking for software to maintain their invoices, quotes, bank transactions, bills and expenses.

What problems is FreeAgent solving and how is that benefiting you?

It makes the mundaneness of admin and accounting much easier so I can focus on running my business. It helps keep track of debtors with reminders so can be on top of outstanding monies. and also recurring invoices save me time when it comes to invoicing each month

"Great solution for Freelance and Company"

What do you like best about FreeAgent?

TAX calculation - invoicing, automatic emailing to customers, adding customers, and auto invoicing them, managing expenses.

What do you dislike about FreeAgent?

The fact that I can't close an invoice unpaid directly and I need to create some credit notes and I can't manage it on freelancer / company account at all

Invoicing, tax, accountancy, almost everything bookkeeping.

What are the best aspects of this product?

A big factor that made me appreciate FreeAgent is its customer service providers. While the interface is already easy to use, there are still times I'm faced with some complications and I turn to FreeAgent's customer support every time. They are very helpful and great in simplifying technicalities. Plus, they take the extra time to hear you out. One time, I shared my insights on how FreeAgent can improve and suit my needs better and next thing I know these were the exact new features on the platform.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

It took some time to connect with my bank accounts. It's relatively much costlier but that's understandable with the user-friendly features it provides.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

I like that it automatically reminds my clients of their obligations because sometimes I forget that when projects go out of hand. I'm also lousy when it comes to keeping receipts so with FreeAgent, I don't have to worry about that as it keeps everything in one place.

"Great package"

What do you like best about FreeAgent?

FreeAgent has a really useful homepage that provides and overview of all the key metrics you need to track your company's finances.

What do you dislike about FreeAgent?

While the FreeAgent app for mobile devices is very good it does sometimes have problems accessing the camera on a phone and this causes the app to crash - for example when taking a picture of a receipt.

Recommendations to others considering FreeAgent:

This is a really powerful and reasonably priced financial management, effort tracking and billing tool

What problems is FreeAgent solving and how is that benefiting you?

FreeAgent allows me to track bills, invoices, bank balances, employee effort. It's a one stop shop for everything I need.

What are the best aspects of this product?

I like that FreeAgent is rich with critical management functions such as billing, invoicing, bookkeeping of expenses, verification, and daily time recording. This is the perfect app for small businesses like us. We can focus on enhancing our products and services rather and leave much of the management and monitoring work on this platform.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

It's not friendly for beginners so it would need to provide an intensive guide for a few days in the early phase of using it, especially that activating many of its functions are different compared to many others I have used. In all, I won't recommend the free version

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

It has a clean professional look that makes looking for the functions you need or reports you want to view very easily. My work insofar as billing and expense tallying are concerned is made much easier. I don't need to hire an accountant plus I have more time working on other areas of my business.

FreeAgent is very simple and easy to use. Accounting tasks which I used to do for three cumbersome hours, I could now complete in a few minutes.

Perfect for independent businesses

What are the best aspects of this product?

As a freelancer, filing taxes used to be an onerous task. I'm very grateful to have stumbled upon FreeAgent so now I don't have to worry come tax season. Payment methods are also very easy as FreeAgent integrates with several third-party payment facilities.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

I feel that the design is a bit outdated.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

It eliminated the need for costly accounting services and helped me avoid hefty fines for delayed tax payments.

What are the best aspects of this product?

FreeAgent helped me run my business smoothly. Transactions are very easy to handle even as you apply multiple accounts into the system as it integrated with them in just one day.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

I haven't found anything to dislike about FreeAgent but would definitely be thrilled if it could work on payrolls on a weekly basis.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

I'm more confident in completing duties I targeted for at the start of the day, and without compromising accuracy.
