I like that we can make each form unique and customizable to our events. We can change background images, colors, just about anything we want with a few simple clicks.
I wish some of the connection pieces between the form and our CRM would save across forms. Something along the lines of a basic connection setup and then have the option to tweek it as needed would be wonderful!
FormAssembly gives us a hands-free approach to collecting lead and prospect information, as well as gather what is needed for event registrations. The fact that the data drops right into our CRM is priceless!
Almost unlimited flexibilty to meet needs of data collection.
Submitting data to objects Saleforce is super easy and flexible when using formulas.
Ability to 'brand' the web forms to match our corporate brand at www.gbfb.org.
Support is great as are the on-line help documents.
At this time we have not found any showstoppers with any of our form designs.
Missing a Connector to NetSuite
As a food bank we interact daily with the 500+ food pantries to collect data from them that allows us to better serve them.
Reliability and connects well with our CRM and website-building tool.
It is pricy, but after seeing how reliable, the price is right.
we were previously using WP forms which did not connect to our Salesforce wich cause loss of revenue and time
It's a really flexible tool - the added complexity means an exponential set of options, in comparison with more intuitive programs. The help documents are incredibly helpful and include screenshots and gifs, and there are sample codes for common scenarios, etc. Where the help documents don't meet my needs, I've found the customer service team to be really responsive and helpful and have sent screenshots and recordings, as well as refer me through to other colleagues for more help. If you give them permission, they will go into your account and clone the form with issues, so that they test where it's going wrong. You can't overestimate the added value of having this level of support available.
It took a little while to learn. We have used Smart Survey in the past, which is more drag and drop and intuitive for most people. It also requires basic coding if you want to put responses from different fields into the same Salesforce field, for example. Or if you want to create any conditional rules. So it isn't easy to pick up for your average office worker. Sometimes, when sending info through to Salesforce, error messages are shown to the end user, which isn't ideal, so be careful how you set up connectors.
We wanted a flexible tool to build online forms for gathering data and sending it to Salesforce - lead generation, newsletter sign-ups, application forms, forms for other types of info, donation forms connected to Stripe. Form Assembly does all these things with built-in connectors to both Salesforce and Stripe (amongst others which we haven't really used). It has allowed us to make sure that all the metadata we wanted was fed into the CRM-system, for example, instead of having a Mailchimp newsletter sign-up form, we have a Mailchimp integration and we can ensure that we record how, when, where and the wording of the contact consent directly into Salesforce, which then triggers Mailchimp subscribe actions. Likewise, with donations, we now have a seamless integration with Stripe and Salesforce allowing us to send through metadata based on responses, which has reduced the manual import/export of lots of information. Our application forms used to be Microsoft Word documents which people emailed to us and were manually entered on Salesforce. This is now an automatic process saving countless hours of processing time.
You can do so many things with FormAssembly. Our favourites tools are the Salesforce connectors and Stripe connector. Formulas and advanced form logic allow us to use forms for so many different use cases. The support desk are always helpful and come up with useful tips and tools when we get stuck.
I can't think of anything I dislike about FormAssembly - if there are things we haven't mastered yet it's got more to do with our level of expertise in all the features than any lack of functionality in the system.
We use FormAssembly to manage virtually all of our data capture into our Salesforce CRM. This consists of forms to capture customer requirements, leads, bookings, applications, etc as well as interaction with customers and beneficiaries during various contact points in their journeys. We also use FormAssembly to conduct large surveys within our community.
FormAssembly is an easy-to-use tool whose power extends far beyond its own platform because of its powerful connectors. It also has extensive learning and support materials online and excellent support customer service.
If you have a form that has gotten thousands of responses or more, the results can be slow to load. Their Customer Support Team used to be available on chat but now it always seems to be listed as full and you have to reach out via email.
Gives us an easy way to create completely customizable applications, surveys, registrations, payment processing, etc. And the most powerful part is it's connectors to Salesforce and our ability to send out prefilled URLs via email.
I found the documentation very user-friendly, making it quick and easy to get started using FormAssembly for even complex data capture tasks. It is my 'go-to' solution for almost all data capture needs, from lead generation to surveys and even communication preferences.
I would love to be able to document-build, capturing field values entered earlier in the form to personalise, like using field tags in text and labels, i.e. "So, <<tfa_1>> tell us more about why you are interested in this..." where tfa_1 would be the first name. As far as I can tell, this can only be done on a multipage form.
We help students in Scottish universities get paid internships with international companies. We use FormAssembly to capture applications to our internship program and the internship role description from our hosting companies, saving hundreds of work hours. We also have forms on our website where potential host companies can register their interest in joining our programme, giving us a significant pipeline to work with. As a small team in a non-profit organisation, we need all the help we can get to drive efficiency. This allows us to get on with helping these students get the best start in their careers to become Scotlands' next generation of business leaders, creating new jobs and a better Scotland.
- An excellent tool for creating and integrating Dynamic Forms with Salesforce
- We can customize the back end as per our requirements
- We can use CSS with Forms to design the front end
- It has inbuilt Pre-Fill and Post-Submission Connectors
Having conditional fields in the forms is a little tricky and confusing. They should also provide more customer support.
It is easy to build forms where you need user input.
The ease of creating professional looking surveys and the ease of adding to emails and website. Lots of Intergration with other applications.
Connecting to other applications like Salesforce could be a challenge, but not a dealbreaker.
Ability to create surveys to collect data.

FA just makes work so much easier to complete. I love:
* How easy it is to add form questions.
* The Prefill connectors are simple and straightforward
* branding/themes
8 the connector is so powerful and easy to use. I love that cross-function object connections make it so easy to upset records to multiple objects in Salesforce
OMG why the hell are there no folder options? All the forms are just dumped into one big section. I have almost 100 forms and tags just don't do it for me the way organizing in folders would. Please for the love of God add folder options
entering our leads from school and fair visits and being able to sync those leads to campaigns
