I have been using the product for a while and have exposure to the AM componet (Access Management). I really like this AM component and I am currently working on AM5.1. To add more, I also had used OpenAM 4years back and at that time only I came across this Forgerock product for the first time. I liked the mechanisms of the tool and the ease of using it. The way other IAM (identity and access management) tools allow to implement SSO (Single sign on) are very complex than the process used in Forgerock.

I have not noticed any huge drawback in using Forgerock as of now. If I am forced to say some points on this, then I would like to comment regarding the UI customization. I hope there may be some possibilities of making the customization more straightforward and beneficial. Now the existing product doesn't allow one to do the changes in a simple manner and also I have observed some technical glitches like the modification made in some of the backend xml files doesn't help the changes be reflected in the frond end of the AM console. I guess these small bugs can be fixed in the next release or maybe it's already been considered and the fixes are provided in the latest versions (for instance, AM6 or AM6.5 or 7)

I would like to highly recommend this tool those who are looking for Forgerock and already working in identity and access management field.

Mostly it is related to authentication and authorizing the users from LDAP or some other sources. The main benefit is the ease we feel in implementing Forgerock components especially the initial deployment of the system. I liked the way the tool introduces with many inbuilt authentication module types which make the users very comfortable with it.

ForgeRock SSO is really good, it's best in the market now. Customization for authentication and authorization is very easy and reliable.

ForgeRock support(backstage) is also helpful and easy to use.

Overall ForgeRock is the best tool digitalize the business by connecting digital customers to new services and provide them secured authentication and authorization.

As of now there is not much to dislike any feature provided by Forgerock.

I totally recommend the product for identity and access management.

The way Authentication tree works. Very easy to design the User flows and easy way to customise it.

SAML Federation still have old UI. It would be great to have XUI to transformed it.

I will advice to use this Authentication Tree design which provide you platform to write your own code as well if out of box node doesn't fit in your requirement. More over if you insist some features ForgeRock might provide you support in that case.

Get rid of Chains and Modules and transforming everything into Trees on AM-6.5.2 as it enable us to use FR SDKs feature.

Easy to integrate and unified login can be offer to clients

There are certain bugs identified for some of the functionalities.

Continue to evolve and cater the needs of the future.

The administration console is still the weak part. There a promised improvement for the new platform which I believe will create great positive impact.

Complex IAM scenarios. ForgeRock products are flexible and powerful to adjust to the customers needs

Installation and configuration is the simple process and you can install it in no time.

Single signon feature of openam is very used to protect the applications from unauthorized acess based on the authorization policies

ForgeRock can support legacy systems meanwhile delivering the most cutting-edge IAM solutions with latest modules. A great community can share the problems and answers in production.

Not easy to implement CDSSO.

Great effort is needed to upgrade the IAM system when using ForgeRock.

I am working with FR from last 3 year and its a good tool in terms of authentication and authorization . We are using FR in our organization for authentication and SAML compliance .
