What is Forecast and how does it work?

Forecast is a cloud-based task management software that uses AI (artificial intelligence) to automate various procedures. It also automates the project and resource management process. This software is enhanced with a myriad of diverse features that improve task management activities in different fields. It comes with advertising agency features, professional service automation and product management features. Forecast is popular as digital project manager. Task cards and subtask cards help in classifying and assigning tasks to the team members. You can automate and customize your workflow. Forecast allows making comments, making estimates, Gantt charts, time & issue tracking.

What do you like best about Forecast?

I like the ability to synergize and observe financial implications on a whim when changes are made to a project.

What do you dislike about Forecast?

I believe that one of the biggest issues in my view could be the lack of accuracy in calculating average rates when new members join a team.

Intuitive and user friendly experience which most over PM systems lack

"Switch to Forecast for all PM!"

What do you like best about Forecast?

The customer service at Forecast is the best I've ever experienced. Becky & Andrea have been amazing answering my many questions on how to best use the platform to fit our needs. They are always very prompt & highly knowledgeable. Forecast has tons of features & they continue to roll out updates to better assist their clients.

What do you dislike about Forecast?

They rolled out quiet a few updates without giving any heads up or explanation of the new features last week. I would've liked to receive a guide on new features and any impacts they might have.

What problems is Forecast solving and how is that benefiting you?

We've just implemented a new resource management process that would be impossible without Forecast. We're still waiting on a few things:

1. When resource planning, task allocation only allows even time distributions across the selected dates. (ie. If you assign an 8 hour task for Mon-Tues, it evenly distributes it instead of being able to allocate 5hr Mon, 3hr Tues.) You can distribute time this way in project allocation but this method doesn't communicate to projects or time registrations in this mode. I would also love for them to add communication between the people schedule & timesheets but don't expect this for a while.

2. Exporting a detailed breakdown of invoices instead of only the project names & totals.

What do you like best about Forecast?

The reporting you get with forecast is excellent. We've been able to revolutionise how we plan and resource our clients.

What do you dislike about Forecast?

It's frustrating that you can still see and track time on tasks that are for a previous month. It would be good if you can block people from seeing them or being able to track time. It causes admin errors and clogs up our time tracking area.

What problems is Forecast solving and how is that benefiting you?

Forecast is solving our ability to accurately track where we are spending our time as an agency and how profitable our clients are for us. We're able to plan well in advance and it's all in one easy to manage system.

"Work smarter not harder with the Forecast project management software"

What do you like best about Forecast?

Having a single source of truth for all our project management and resource management. If something is updated in one place, it's automatically reflected everywhere else that it needs to be. This saves us countless admin hours and a lot of headaches.

What do you dislike about Forecast?

The scheduling view works better than most, but it could still use some improvements. Not being able to split time allocations for eg causes us some problems.

What problems is Forecast solving and how is that benefiting you?

We've had a 130% increase in actual hourly rates, our realisation and utilisation rates are increasing MoM and our now projects run smoothly the majority of the time. None of this would have been possible without Forecast.

What do you like best about Forecast?

The real time data and ease of use to plan and resource projects.

What do you dislike about Forecast?

I do find at times being a retainer based agency, that I have to make Forecast work a bit harder for us, but they are working on improvements here!

What problems is Forecast solving and how is that benefiting you?

It helped consolidate numerous other tools and documents, streamline our processes and improved our reporting as soon as we launched this internally.

What do you like best?

It is easy to manage your timesheet as well as projects.

What do you dislike?

I only have good comments on the platform! With the last update (including visual aspects), Forecast is really good!

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Timesheet is mandatory in my organization. I can easily create new projects, on the fly, and assign them immediately to my timesheet. There is no need to depend on anybody's help!
