What do you like best about Fomo?

Fomo delivers what it promises. The drag and drop feature initially took a bit of getting used to it has now become incredibly easy to navigate. Fomo has become a tool, for my business.

What do you dislike about Fomo?

Setting up Fomo is time consuming and frustrating. Compared to tools on the market there is room, for improvement when it comes to customization.

What problems is Fomo solving and how is that benefiting you?

Fomo solves the problems of gaining proof. Our application shows notifications of customer activity, on our website, which helps build trust and a sense of urgency for customers.

What do you like best about Fomo?

I love that FOMO is very easy to configure, setup, and place on your website. I have an eCommerce website and I was able to easily connect it to my stripe account and have FOMO popups displaying on my site within minutes.

What do you dislike about Fomo?

I haven't found anything that I dislike about FOMO as of yet.

Recommendations to others considering Fomo:

FOMO is one of the leaders in this space. Their product is simple, easy to use and setup, and I strongly advice checking it out before looking at others.

As the name suggests, this service allows us to create FOMO with prospective customers, turning casual shoppers into motivated buyers. The service features straightforward instructions to set up and maintain, which makes the offering even better.

What do you like best about Fomo?

Todoist was a great platform for me since I love to keep lists. It has an easy interface for jotting tasks and chores down, and it integrated to my email!

What do you dislike about Fomo?

I did not dislike much about the product. The drag and drop feature took a bit for me to fully get used to, but it was worth it.

What problems is Fomo solving and how is that benefiting you?

Fomo helps people remember tasks both in their personal and work life. It is a must-have for those who like to-do lists!

Don't have any dislikes! FOMO is meeting our needs.

FOMO notifications are the most obvious form of social proof when a person enters our site. I feel that the sliding notifications put a potential customer at ease.

Admin interface that could be rebuild.

When user clicks on the fomo link, it replaces the utm_source and we lost the first one.

What do you like best about Fomo?

The ease of creating social proof for my website! Easy to get better conversions and proof others are buying my product.

What do you dislike about Fomo?

The customization of the pop-up. I can't customize it as much as I'd like to. Also, hard to test without actually buying the product and seeing if my name comes up.

Recommendations to others considering Fomo:

More customization and better ability to test

Proof of buying to increase my conversions on my pages. Easy and not an annoying way to prove this.

The concept. It is a good idea but just seemed to have to many steps to make it work and was not clear what needed to be done in which order

Took me forever to install and a long time to get hold of customer service. However when I did get hold of them they were very helpful.

I unsubscribed a while ago and yet I am still getting emails and notifications form them

Totally Dishonest Company Practices
As a publisher with Fomo, I used them for about 4 months to evaluate monetizing a decent-sized website with a consistent number of monthly visitors. Fomo claims they're "honest" - they actually have this everywhere in their marketing pages, but they're nothing but a dishonest private company just trying to make a buck off of their advertisers.

Their initial setup seemed great - within the first month I'd made more in one month with Fomo than I'd make in one month with Google Adsense. The second month was lower, which was odd because the ads did not change and they showed up at the same frequency. The third month was almost rock-bottom in payments despite the same number of ads were shown on the site. Eventually I figured out that Fomo would claim to show "0 ad views" in their dashboard within a given time period, while simultaneously showing ads on the site at a regular rate.

Do not trust Fomo. Websites that need to monetize, even when small, are better off sticking with Google Adsense and being patient rather than use these scam artists.

Very Dishonest & Fraudulent Behaviour
Our company had been evaluating fomo.com for a first time in November 2018 using a free trial. Back then, we did not have time for an implementation, so we decided not to subscribe.

Now in March 2019, we decided to re-evaluate the software. The sign-up processes prompts you to "Start a 14 day free trial" and also clearly states "You won’t be charged during your free trial.".

However, Fomo.com decided to charge our card right away without any free trial. This is a bit strange, if you are prompted to enter your credit card details for a free trial, but end up being charged right away?

Normally this shouldn't be an issue. SAAS service providers are in the business of building valuable customer relationships and enticing word-of-mouth, right?

Not so with Fomo.com. When nicely asked, the support-time states that "We do not make exceptions to our Terms of Service as this would be unfair to our other customers, the majority of which are paying via company card. If you submit a chargeback we will respond in a timely manner via Stripe."

Those business practices are very concerning, and we will stay away from this company in the future, and will have to go through the administrative effort of doing a credit card charge back via our bank.
