PROS: We use Fogbugz to write wiki articles, feature requests, and bugs. The app is easy to learn and we can use it receive incoming emails from customers and tech support. We like that we can host the app locally. The Fogbugz website features in-depth articles on how to design plugins for modifications that can help your company. I also like the excellent search feature as I can search multiple fields simultaneously.
CONS: The basic functionalities are easy to use but the app offers multiple options and you need to do some trial and error to find out which features are most useful for your needs. Other bug tracking solutions offer two fields to determine the priority and severity of a bug, but FogBugz offers only the priority field.
Fogbugz is a very simple and easy to access bug logging tool. It is very convenient to take a report of the all the bugs logged so far in a very quick manner.
Unlike other Defect logging tool it is not upgrading with as per industry standards like In Jira we have Jira stories for scenarios.
With the help of Fogbugz it is very efficient to track the records of defect logged release wise. Easy to access and cost effective.
PROS: For me, the plus points are the excellent filter searching options and organization. The app is ideal for managing multiple milestones, sprints, and projects.
CONS: The learning curve is a bit steep and this can be difficult initially. Plus, we have more than 200,000 tickets and the app is slow because of this and the pages load slowly. This only worsens the learning curve.
PROS: I appreciate the ease of use and the reporting features especially the evidence-based estimation tool. In my opinion, FogBugz is an excellent app for software development.
CONS: The only disadvantage is it is hard to limit access to the app at a customer level.
FogBugz is easy to use and great for project management. I like it because it allows me to follow the changes that are taking place in the development of our software, to have a better perception. The best thing is that since FogBugz is online, we can access it from anywhere and synchronize projects.
There's nothing I don't like about FogBugz in terms of functionality. His license seems very expensive to me, since all are aimed at a maximum of 5 users.
The learning curve is short with this software. It has very robust features for software management. I recommend it, for small work teams.
FogBugz has given us different benefits such as version control of the software we have in our catalogs, as well as has encouraged collaboration with my team. Without a doubt, we can better monitor the progress of our projects.
Stability and usability are solid. It seamlessly integrates with our Mercurial source control repos. The hosted version has a feature called Harmony that allows every repository to be accessed via Git and/or Mercurial. Each user can choose their own DVCS regardless of what other users on the same project/repository are using.
We are using the on-premise version, and there seems to be a lack of new development on that version. The hosted version is getting new features while the on-premise version is stagnating. In particular, I would like to see the Harmony feature added to the on-premise version. It is a killer feature that allows every repository to be accessed via Git and/or Mercurial. Each user can choose their own DVCS regardless of what other users on the same project/repository are using.
If your company is comfortable with the hosted version, I would recommend that over the on-premise version. The hosted version is updated more frequently and has newer features.
Integrated source control, code reviews, issue tracking, bug reports.
PROS: I like that I can sort and search quickly. At any time, I’m only a few clicks away from the info I need.
CONS: The search feature becomes dysfunctional sometimes, and there are system downtimes too. But to be fair, the service is usually back up inside the same business day. Another drawback is the software timesheet management and it could be improved by adding a more powerful overall view.
PROS: I love the granularity which allows me to easily categorize bugs and other issues. This feature offers limitless possibilities, but you need to be careful because creating complex granularity for your projects can make it hard to use the app.
CONS: The vendor doesn’t do enough to help users and administrators to maintain the usability of the issue tracking software. This is not a problem if your QA and developer teams are small. But if you run multiple products and releases simultaneously on FogBugz, you need experienced administrators to use the issue tracking system effectively.
PROS: I love that I can manage projects, estimate times for large tasks, and supervise everything easily. The Kiln integration is useful as it allows project cases to be linked in mercurial commits and this improves accountability and enables us to learn how time was spent doing each task.
CONS: The minus points are the interface which makes it difficult to use the app and lack of integration with Trello (which is surprising as the parent company FogCreek Software created both systems).

PROS: I love that the app is easy to set up and I can save filters to display all my issues and bugs clearly and track my tasks in another filter/view. The Kiln integration is useful as it allows me to source control management commits to a specific case. Kiln helps me balance ease with power and I can do a lot with it without spending a week on planning. The API is useful and we use it to enable our software to automatically submit bug reports in case of issues.
CONS: My only complaint is FogBugz lacks features that would allow us to track our clients individually and monitor their information.
