"SVM Offers a Novel Approach to 3rd Party Patch Management and Vulnerability Research"
What do you like best about Software Vulnerability Manager?

Support tries their best to help, especially given the tool has some legacy components. The standard set of software available to patch without much effort is not the largest, but it covers almost all of the standard software we expect to encounter on endpoints. They have been regularly adding new features, which shows they invest in the product. Intune integration is also a big bonus.

What do you dislike about Software Vulnerability Manager?

It sometimes feels like support is learning with me how to fix specific issues. At times, I feel like their only customer. Frequently the problems I have tend to be new to them, which is a bit bizarre that one user could find so many new issues. The Internet Explorer requirement for 3rd party patching is also dreadful, though they are making progress with the new Patch Publisher product.

What problems is Software Vulnerability Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use the product to patch third-party software that has security vulnerabilities. We also use it as a software deployment mechanism instead of SCCM. Further, the research data allows us to target our most vulnerable software and endpoints better. Our security posture is much better, thanks to SVM.

Terrible company with incredibly rude staff

PROS: I work in an office building n reception whilst I'm finishing my law degree and a member of the Flexera team (a large lady with an English accent) came in today to attend a meeting, expect that we have never heard of Flexera. She laughed in my face when I told her we don't know who they are and said that I had a 'bad system' - when she called her boss she was informed that she was in the wrong place. She then insisted on waiting in my lobby talking loudly on her phone and her problems before someone came and met her. Nasty business image and reflects terribly on their services.

CONS: A team reshuffle and some cooperate etiquette training.
