It is essential for sharing information in negotiations, knowing at all times who is accessing and when and what is being consulted at any given moment. You never lose control or have doubts about the use that is made.
I miss two things. A configurable alert system to know immediately when someone accesses or reviews a document. And to be able to automate reports to be sent automatically.
Resolves controlled and secure sharing of sensitive information
Firmex is a spartan platform that is easy to use and intuitive. No bells and whistles, just straightforward application with easy to understand user interface.
Platform is very easy to use for hosts to set up, and clients and prospects have never complained to us about accessibility or have raised any technical problems to us.
I have not had to utilize customer support, the built-in help feature has been useful and solved what few issues I had.
I've used the Firmex site for multiples deals over the past 3.5 years and have enjoyed the platform, it is also significantly cheaper than other services such as intralinks, while accomplishing the same thing.
No dislikes per se, but additional data could be interesting around users utilization (maybe ability to see exactly which files have been viewed / downloaded), but overall extremely useful.

Searching the documents is required a big improvement. Also, I would recommend to add a feature to rev up the new uploaded documents and archive the old revision with the same content.

the Reports function is difficult to use. i.e. monitoring upload/download activity.
some important features are buried, like when you want to change the email frequency settings. hard to find
central folder to provide access to files and allow multiple people from various organizations to access and/or restrict
The ability to add watermarks to specific indexes and the ability to show/hide documents to certain groups

I enjoy that it is very user friendly. Adding/ removing folders, restricting accesses to certain group/ people is very easy vs. other VDRs where it is almost impossible to figure out how to do this (it is not as simply as right clicking etc.)
Honestly, there is not much that I dislike. I have been using Firmex since 2018 and it is my go to VDR.

The most helpful aspect of Firmex is the customization. I am able to invite users and give them specific permissions for each folder. My firm uses Firmex regularly to share documents securely with certain groups of users. The site is easy to navigate, upload documents and search through.
At this time I cannot describe an instance where I disliked any aspect of the site.
The virtual data rooms allow us to securely share a large number of files that would otherwise be difficult to be sent by other means such as email.

Quick easy upload and download of documents. I also think it is easy to navigate. I must also say customer service makes this platform stand out from other platforms that I use.
I am a little frustrated with the storage size alotments in comparison to the cost. Especially when just transferring docs for short term use.
Firmex solves all security issues with transferring documents and I provides reports to track usages.
