A PSA App for Business
it is easy to use because it is built on the Salesforce platform. It has some features like managing staff, customers, projects, financials, etc, and quick customer support.it is very easy to implement and easy to integrate with the other applications as well. The frequency of use PS Cloud is very quick.
i don't think so, there is any drawback .
actually, it is very easy to use so anyone can start learning and working on that, having very little code so most of the things we can achieve through customization only. we basically use PS Cloud for Project mgt, Resource mgt, time mgt, skill mgt, revenue mgt, service CPQ, and many more.
The best part is that you can easily configure it and receive all the Salesforce capabilities because it is built on the Salesforce platform. With just a few clicks, you can do all the main tasks on this user-friendly simple UI. I adore the interface's ease of use. The tool facilitates smooth time tracking, resource management, and project management. It is scalable.
It is easy to use and easy to implement. Customer support is best.
we frequently use it.
I've noticed that the loading time of the page is too much, thus there may be certain things that may be done better.
The following areas are where our advisory services team is becoming more productive and delivering services faster thanks to the features and flexibility of FinancialForce Professional Services Cloud:
Project resource allocation, Tracking of resource skills, and Revenue recognition for deliverables that are both ratable and non-ratable.
PS Cloud covers almost all the requirements a company could have to maintain a good customer relationship. Particularily the new features added to the Time Entry recently are really great. It is very easy to use, even for a new user who is not familar with the PSA Architecture happens to understand it nicely very soon. I have implemented PSA for a few customers and its quite simple to implement. Customer support that Certenia provides is absolutely great. My final comments would be, I recommend using PSA!!
I feel some altogether new objects can be added to the PS Cloud to even more better. I have seen quite a few customizations that many a customers do to PSA, so if Certenia could do some research on their customers about what customizations they are doing on PSA, that might help you to get some new ideas!
Resource Management is one of the great feature that helps us manage the resources efficiently.
Project Managment is yet another great feature that helps us manage the ongoing projects and maintain various versions of it to compare it from.
A highly elaborative tool that assists you with proper planning - ensuring that project operations run smoothly. As a result, the customer has a positive experience. Also, we can track proper resource utilisation and plan things well in advance.
Its very easy to use and get integrated with 3rd party tool like Xero for invoicing.
Also, the customer support is super amazing.
A few things aren't tied together properly, but that's true of every product, leaving room for them to improve the product and introduce new features and releases.
Helped us with properly resource and capacity planning, resulting in us knowing when to start or pause recruitment. Billing and resource utilisation is streamlined.
Whatever your business model is, PSA is adaptable for your business and its rules.
For more simple business models, the system can seem over-engineered.
Resource Management, Invoice/Billing Automation, Revenue Forecasting, Utilization Calculations
I love the user-friendly interface. The tool is scalable and helps manage the project management, resource management and seamless time tracking.
There might be some aspects that could be improved, however, we are at the initial stages of using the tool.
Helps with managing the projects - active and archived and also helps pulling out relevant reports and metrics related to them. Seamless time tracking system. Easier to schedule resources and keep track of available resources - current and the future.
The biggest pro is that it's on the salesforce platform, where there is a wealth of training material and resources to customize and automate for our needs, so fairly easy to use. There is quite a lengthy implementation process to onboard, 3-6 months using a partner. It's a tool that our team will rely on for KPIs and metrics, requiring frequent data enty in the form of timecard entry, project updates, and resource schedule allocation. I feel like Certinia is very customer centric and listens to ideas when designing their product roadmap to include features that were requested. Since it's on the force.com platform, it's as easy to integrate with other apps as it is with salesforce.
Customer support is hit and miss. If lucky to be assigned a US based resource to the case, more likely than not, they will be excellent--know the product well, can troubleshoot and think comprehensively to solve the problem. However, I've had frustrating experiences with offshore resources in that they do not understand the issue, have little product knowlege, and have lengthy response turnarounds.

When we open any object at that time we noticed it will take some time to open.
When ever we are facing any issue at that time we have joined weekly clinic call that certinia organise. This is very benificial to discuss our issue.
The complexity of the solution provided by Certinia PS Cloud makes it malleable to almost all situations a business would want to track. Because it is embedded in Salesforce and designed to work with the Standard Objects, it is easy to enhance with customizations specific to your business. However, out of the box, it is ready for you to start making the day-to-day decisions that are crucial to the success of a professional services company.
Although I was not part of the organization when PSA was implemented, it only took about 90 days from the initial installation of the App to go-live. This included a data transformation and load at go-live as well. After the initial go-live, we integrated it into the legacy finance system. We have since upgraded to a two-way integration. This was key to tying several of our processes back into PSA for tracking and monitoring by our PMO and Ops teams.
As the head of Ops and Staffing, one of my most well-known sayings is, "If it isn't in PSA, the ask (meaning requesting for a resource) isn't real." Having the entirety of our PMO and Sales teams on board with this sentiment ensures that all of our data is captured. This allows us to use PSA as our source of truth for our business.
The biggest downside is the learning curve of the data model. It takes a while to master, but once you have figured it out, it makes pulling the data out of your tool clean and easy. Certinia is always there to answer questions on the Community Portal. This will also help with that learning curve and clarify the variety of features' differences.
Resource management/sourcing is the key problem solved. However, by using Certinia PS Cloud, it also allows for the slicing and analyzing of the data for historical and future forecasts.
