There was not too much i disliked, learning the system at first took a bit but once i got the hang of it i was ready to go. My sales engineers really enjoyed it.
Experlogixs helps my team put together complex quotes quickly. The deign tool of the system makes it very easy to help my users understand how to use the tool!!!
No coding only excel logics for configur
No dislikes as it is flexible to use , u can use your own mind to which we have to make options series or models. if u know excel logics we can easily make thr configurator for the customer
it makes the complex configuration easier to make quote faster , like i have work on making trucks configure, so there are lot of things we can add as a option in it
I can give my users a very user-friendly quoting system that makes their jobs easier. I can incorporate rules and formulas to give them the exact information they need to serve our customers. Experlogix is very versatile to handle anything from easy configurations to very complex configurations.
Once I got proficient with Experlogix and understood the way my company was using it, I have not found anything that I dislike about it. Yes, there are times I need to go back to the User Guide for information but I can usually figure it out from there. If anything, I believe the User Guide can be more intuitive with more examples.
We use Experlogix for customer quoting through CRM. We have several complex configurations that are easily managed if set up correctly.

it is getting a little too complicated for non-technical users, requiring more help from technical resources

creating a system to configure , quote and order
Multi-functionality is a HUGE benefit to this product - there are many ways to achieve one goal. I appreciate that if I don't like SQL statements, I don't have to use them! Same goes for many features. I also appreciate that if I need help or something doesn't go as planned, I can reach out to support and receive a prompt response.
Experlogix CPQ is a beast - there are a ton of functionalities and there is always something new to learn. I feel like if you're not technically inclined or you aren't a quick learner, it can be a difficult process to utilize this tool. The learning curve has drastically decreased since I started using the Design Center User Guide, but I think that it could be improved over time to be an even more valuable resource (more examples with screen caps, for instance, would be useful).
Experlogix CPQ is a worthy investment - but it is indeed an investment of both time and money. There is a lot to learn but the reward for doing so is astronomical for business.
We originally started using Experlogix CPQ without utilizing the full functionality of the BOM Designer. We are now in the final stages of redesigning our current database to use more of what the BOM designer has to offer, and we are very excited that our production team will now have more information about the products that they are expected to build. Every BOM we push to work orders will be built from scratch and customized based on selections from sales...without sales staff having to learn all of the production information needed to build a trailer. This is a big deal for us, having the system act as liaison between sales and production.
e-Con's most powerful advantage over other CPQs is the way it integrates into the destination system (we use SalesForce and Dynamics NAV).
This allows you to create multiple artifacts, even ones that are seemingly unrelated, from the same Configuration.
And best of all - without making any additional customizations in your ERP.
Now with the new SalesForce integration, we Configure Opportunites, Quotes, Sales Orders, Items, and Production BOMs all in the same session - again, with very little customizations.
All this flexibility increases complexity. There is a little bit of a learning curve to understand the capabilities of the tool.
e-Con helps address this in a few ways. They provide a slew of wizards and functions to help with the basics.
They also have a growing and knowlegeable group of consultants available to help anywhere from assisting and training your staff to providing turn-key solutions.
They're also teasing the release of their next generation IDE that will help make development easier.
If you'd like to minimize base ERP/CRM customizations and have a reasonably technical administrative/implementation staff, e-Con is the CPQ tool for you.
Additionally, if your processes require more than basic CPQ functionality (create quote), you'll really find eCon worth the investment.
We use e-Con as an end to end CPQ solution. It starts with Sales configuring orders in SalesForce, several groups reviewing and "enhancing" the order, Manufacturing building and shipping the order, to Field Service Installing the order.
The flexibility e-Con provides allows us to even support changes/additions to orders after it has already partially shipped.
Implementing e-Con has not only resulted in cost savings associated with better quality BOM automation, but allows us to directly incorporate miscellaneous groups that only selectively get involved with the process.
We are able to use Salesforce to feed dashboards as Job Queues in these cases. This second aspect shows promise to increase efficiencies in ways we didnt expect when we started this project.
Experlogix CPQ is a Configure, Price and Quote solution for enterprises that allows them to handle complex CPQ requirements with ease.User interface is easy to stream line. Integrations with Dynamics 365 are excellent, even with custom fields. Experlogix matches the look of each Dynamics release.it provides a natural transition from Dynamics 365 to CPQ for your users, shortens learning curves and increases user adoption
It's very easy to use and understand. The Experlogix Design Center is a user-friendly workbench which allows non-technical users to create
and maintain complex rules and sophisticated algebraic formulas – all without programming expertise.
I realized a lot of benefits. it Eliminate quote errors. CPQ Guarantee complete product and service configurations at the time of order.
