We needed to move off our existing billing and workflow management platforms, which are past EOL. EC has helped us modernize our platforms, and streamline our workflow processes.
The professionals at Expedite Commerce invest the time to understand your business and become an extension of the team solutioning problems. Expedite Commerce was specific on where they could help and what was out of scope to help focus project success.
I'm not as familiar with Expedite Commerce product innovation or roadmap, having quarterly capability enhancement reviews to gain insight into Expedite Commerce innovation would be helpful to complement the direct customer project execution efforts. Many times Expedite Commerce is great at delivery and focus; it would be great to continue layer in new Expedite Commerce innovations to product execution/enhancements.
Focus the initial projects on highest value workflows for new products vs spending time optimizing legacy products so you gain new efficiency with each product release and stay focused on highest volume activities to maximize product.
Expedite Commerce is evolving our business engagement, product & functional workflow management, and integration with CRM functionality to ensure tight alignment between our customer & product delivery. It has been critical to our business process delivering a cross functional operational dashboards/reporting and business process approach that we didn't previously have.
Expedite Commerce does an excellent job to ensure their customers feel valued. They listen to the needs and their customer's concerns and help in designing systems that address their concerns. Knowing that the customer is #1 priority aligns with our corporate values, make the partnership logical.
Can't think of anything negative to say. I know our organization has been working with the EC team for several years and the results have been very positive.
Have a team working with implementing services that understand and can articulate the business needs.
Our organization is working on a full orders to cash process. The complexity of our product set and billing requirements for each all have their own challenges and the EC team is there every step of the way.
Expedite Commerce has been a great partner in our push to modernize our inside sales platform. They joined in business facing meeting, worked with us on training, kept their promises and delivered on schedule. There's not much more you can ask of a technology company.
But I will add: They have worked hand in hand to solution difficult problems and get our internal development team up to speed so we can own our the application and our own future. Meetings were fun and informative. We've built a partnership with a friendship along the way. All while dealing with Covid lockdowns. Thanks to your whole team, but especially Cameron and Max who have given us a year of their lives.
Documentation. Expedite depends a lot on the native Salesforce functionality. When having discussions about how things work we were routinely pointed to Salesforce Trailhead docs and training rather than app specific functionality or their best practices. This is good in that they are using native stuff, but tough on those of us new to Salesforce and trying to figure out specifically how their team implemented or would implement something.
Secondly, They have a deployment process that seems very adhoc and doesn't provide a ton of detail about what's being deployed. Because of this deployments are expensive and rare rather than small and routine. We struggled to incorporate their deployments into our CAB process.
Make sure you are prepared to take on a Salesforce app, by getting your staff trained on Salesforce Administration and best practices.
We were moving our Direct to Consumer Sales team off of a legacy platform to provide a better way them manage products and configure quotes for new customers. Our goals were simple: improve retention of sales reps and reduce the complexity of the sales process. Both of those have been greatly improved.
Great alternative for vendor subscription billing feature, to avoid manual monthly processes.

The Expedite Commerce team is amazing to work with. They are both personal and professional and work diligently to provide a business solution that meets their customer’s needs. I have worked with this team for 6 years on an aggressive plan to make a better order management tool that allows automation and flexibility in a single resource. Tyler and his team have provided several solutions to make my business processes more streamline and allow for large amounts of data to be migrated with ease. Expedite Commerce has created an intuitive ordering tool that both my internal team and customers are able to easily manage to meet their telecommunication ordering needs. I am grateful for the business partnership I have with this dynamic team.
The only downside is they are physically located in Dallas and I am in Olympia Washington. This is a great group of people to work with and I am proud to be a business partner with such amazing people.
They are working on creating a ordering tool in a single resource with all the data stored in the same resource. For over 15 years my job has required that I work in min of 3 different resources and manage orders manually via email. I now have a portal for my team and my customers and the ability for large file uploads. We have the ability to sync orders and projects together in the same resource and pull our contract and pricing details in the same tool as well. I am excited about the new order management tool this amazing team has create for my business and look forward to solving other business challenges with this team!
The vast technical experience EC provides which is unique to our business was invaluable. The ability of the EC team to hit the ground quickly and dig into the nuance of our how we run our business in an effort to call out the internal friction points. The EC iterative "sprint" type platform deployment allows for our company to see tangible progress during our deployment.
Nothing jumps out that I could add to this review.
Replacing of legacy CPQ platforms which were outdated and unsupportable. M&A integration into our companies back office platforms. On-line customer ordering for various service offerings.
Expedite worked closely with us to put together a detailed scope of work. The implementation of that scope was able to meet all of our requirements for both phase 1 (CPQ) and phase 2 (Billing). Both deployments were on time and helped us improve our business operations. Tyler and the Expedite team were of great to work with all along the way.
There were initially some limitations on the number of fields/formats we could incorporate into certain views but they were able to address over time and today we couldn't be happier with the product today.
If you are at all unhappy with your CPQ and billy processes today then talk to Expedite. They can help with all your CPQ and Billing needs. They have worked with a wide variety of businesses and use cases. Expedite is always happy to work through creative solutions and they can turn around demos for newly requested features very quickly.
Our biggest problem was standardize (and track with metrics) the quote to cash process. Expediate helped us with every step along the process from initial order creation through automated hand off to operations all the way through to billing and taxation. The system runs smoothly and we're able to pull all sorts of valuable metrics.
One of the great things about working with Expedite Commerce is their ability to customize and then work within those customization's to make further changes. There typically are additional business requirements that come to light during development and testing, and EC is very flexible as well as responsive to ad hoc required changes to the customization's that they have developed for us when they do occur.
There are a few caveats that come along with a highly specialized version of Salesforce, and one of those caveats is that when there is a new rollout or update to the Salesforce platform and or with the EC customized version of that platform, testing is required prior to that release/update in qa and or testing environment.
In some cases Expedite Commerce will have to troubleshoot and navigate minor post release issues internally, and typically they do so in a thorough and timely manner.
Expedite Commerce solved several issues for us at once when they built our customer quote to cash system. Prior to adopting that system we used three separate archaic systems in order to quote, bill, then invoice the customer for our provided services.
The EC system now allows quotes to be generated out of Salesforce, customer billing to be updated via Salesforce, and a clean export of our entire billing is created post bill cycle (also ran in Salesforce). That export is then sent to our Oracle team to allow for quick and easy invoicing.
The consolidation of theses processes all into one place has created incalculable time savings.
