The proctors assigned are mostly very friendly and make the process of verification before the exam such a painless process. The process of using Examity felt very straightforward.

There are times when minor issues would come up and it would just make things really annoying to stay focused on the quizzes or exams. Sometimes internet disconnections would occur.

It is just another way to regulate students in taking their quizzes and exams while upholding academic integrity. A benefit is that it helps show that you are not cheating.

I think there are inherent privacy issues with live proctoring for online assessment. In most cases, I think it's much better to re-think how assessments are delivered. The process for loading students into Examity is quite manual. It is not an elegant integration with our LMS.

I had previously done an industry scan to see what live proctoring softwares were available. Examity did not make my top 3 picks. I would recommend doing your reasearch. I don't love this product and there are companies out there who are newer players in this industry who may be a bit ahead of the curve. Examity does feel like a large player who is established, but is slow to adapt to the changing needs of the industry.

The problems being solved are filling the need for online proctoring for scheduled high stakes assessemnts. This is beneficial when it's impossible to re-work how the assessment is delivered.
