Evolve Authoring Reviews

For a particular project, we were looking for an authoring tool which looked easy to use and to produce good results in a restricted time. We definately got that through Evolve and much more. What we produced in that first project and since have exceeded our expectations.

The few times we've admitted defeat and reached out to support have been excellent, quick to reply and always solved our problems first time.

It took a little while to figure out Themes and where to find things. I'd like to see some more guidance about creating a new theme and how best to set up the colour palette to support creativity.

Evolve offers numerous possibilities for making e-learning more interesting and interactive. It is relatively easy to learn and fun to implement and design courses. The interface can be customised to match the corporate design and regular updates mean that improvements are constantly being made. The integration into our e-learning site, which is based on Totara, works without any problems. We also use the offline learning packages and incorporate them into presentations, for example.

We have never used the customer service directly.

Sometimes there are problems with different browsers when transferring the assessment from the learning package to the platform behind it. However, this is not necessarily due to Evolve directly, but rather to the browser being up to date.

Thanks to the simple application, we can create courses ourselves and adapt them at any time. This means that we are not dependent on another company to make minor or major changes to the content.

The UI has been relatively easy to use on the admin end. Over the last year, we have move almost all of our training development to Evolve and plan to go all in with the rest. The seamless integration with Intellum as our LMS makes Evolve a no-brainer as our primary authoring tool.

Online documentation and useful articles for advanced users is hard to find. Customer support for Evolve has improved over the last year, as has the community of users, but more assistance in advanced techniques would be great.

We need a course authoring tool that allows us to design, launch, and update courses with minimal impact to user progress and learning experience. Evolve provides that tool with its seamless integration with Intellum LMS.

It's easy to use and I like the fact you can build customized e-learning in a short time.

For a rapid authoring tool, it offers a lot of customisation and interactivity compared to rivals such as Articulate Rise and Elucidat. It bridges the gap between Articulate Rise and Storyline.

Separating the theme from the main body of authoring can be tricky when you're looking to rectify an issue or update some of the content,

It is offering a more interactive product in the rapid authoring tools market. This is benefiting us by giving us an extra string to our bow and the fact we're able to design and provide our learners with a more engaging interactive learning experience. Evolve authoring started as a great idea with a long roadmap. But even at this early stage it was better than the big guns on the market.

The road map was brilliantly executed and always took into account the feedback from it's users.

Quite easy to work with, I learned to use it all by myself, just with support from a few videos and the community forums. Customer support is also excellent, for any issues a new user may encounter. Compatibity with most used platforms is wlcome.

I would welcome some new features, with less of a ¨classic¨ look, maybe more dynamic.

It helps me design the courses on a compact format, compatible with the platform I use.

The mobile first adaptability of content, able to copy, theme and reuse content (once you know how)

Can be difficult to find items in the theme "how do i change the colour of this component" on occasions can be a nightmare where to find the control. Though once you get your head around it, it becomes easier. Also could have more/better animated graphic option, i love using the infographic, but can be a long process to do something quite simple and doesnt adapt to different screen sizes.

We use it for our async staff training and also creating student facing content.

Evole Authoring is such an essential tool, especially for those getting into course creation. What I especially love is how intuitive and easy-to-use it is.

To be frank, I haven't found anything I particularly dislike about Evolve Authoring at this time.

Allows us to create course efficiently while allowing us to make them as good and professional as possible

It's a really straightforward tool to rapid build in. It's great to prioritse accessibility in the tool and to customize the look/feel of a course. The customer support is always great and quick.

Sometimes trying to navigate the theme settings can be challenging - things aren't always where you'd expect them to be.

When finding an issue which relates to accessibility restrictions, they're always willing to improve and listen to the issues.
