EqualTo really helps us save a lot of time when it comes to commission calcuation and it drastically reduced the number of errors made. Prior we did our commission calculation in individual excel sheets, meaning a lot of manual work and regular calculation mistakes. Once all plans are set up there is hardly any administration needed to have it running.
The team regulalry ships new helpful features and are always open to suggestions and ideas.
Now that we have more time at hand, we actually have to get other work done... No seriously, there is nothing to criticize really. Just keep in mind that using a tool such as EqualTo requires clean data to be processed by the tool
EqualTo is making commission calculation much more scalable, faster and less prone to error. We save a lot of time and can manage several more or less complex commission models without having a lot of administrative effort or manual work
What I love about EqualTo is after the set up everything is automatic with little input from ops. Sales also get a clearer more transparent view of their commissions.

EqualTo auto-calculates your commission which makes it super easy to see where you stand as you approach the magical quarterly commission payslip! It also allows you to drill down into any deals and shows you how the commission has been worked out. It means there shouldn't be any human error from Finance calculating commission slips through Excel or similar.
I've found that it sometimes it takes a few weeks+ for your projected commission to show on the system even after you might have closed some business. Other than that it's clear and easy to use.

The time it takes to calculate commission
It is an exceptional platform for companies in constant growth that persistently use the sales processes and to organize all the commissions, it is the solution through which we can administer all our incentive plans.
We have not had any problems because it helps us create better automation of our finances to maximize the company's growth.
It has allowed us to create and improve our commercial teams, has excellent flexibility, and provides us with spreadsheets for creating incentive plans and payroll quickly and without complications.
Equalto provides a comfortable excel-like interface to build out the schemes. This effective language makes the creation of schemes a breeze. The platform provides a fluid and simple experience for our sales teams, further motivating them to push themselves to earn an even higher earning potential. It allows our sales team to sell as opposed to getting their calculator out to make sure they know what they're getting paid. From our finance department, this is a yearly 100hr saving in time and energy, no longer having to look through each scheme and attempt to calculate the commission. They can simply jump into the platform, run a payout, add any bonuses/reductions and focus on the rest of their day. From an admin and management perspective, i can now use the commission outputs to measure true earning potentials for our quota-carriers and have these as auditable figures during budget reviews.
There is a learning curve to the creation of plans in Equalto. I would thoroughly appreciate a manual of sorts for common use-cases of plan creation in Equalto but i am very much aware that commission schemes are unique to organisations. Additionally there are bugs at times with the platform. Again, understandable at the time of this review given how young the company are. It is worth pointing out that bugs are usually squashed in a matter of days and they're more often visual and UI-based and not calculable bugs that impact the true payout amounts.
Time spent on calculating commission each quarter. We've been able to have our finance team hop in and out of the platform within an hour with a full list of payments to make. Additionally quota-carriers are now no longer having to log their opps they're due payment for and instead, can hop into the platform to see what is owed automatically. Finally, the platform has allowed us to be more inventive with our schemes and incentivise high-quality opportunities rather than volume by incentivising as an opportunity moves down the funnel - this never would have been possible without taking a huge amount of time from Finance.
EqualTo's support team has been exceptional in getting us onboarded and set up. Every month it takes around 15 minutes to finalize compensation instead of the original 2-4 hour rush - and our sellers can see their commission, check the calculations, and correct if they notice something is wrong.
As of writing this, there are still some functionalities that are not fully built. Some of these features are blockers for the platform to be used entirely self-service, although the speed at which they are improving is impressive.
If you're currently on spreadsheets for calculating commissions, EqualTo is the simplest and fastest way to centralize and professionalize your commission tracking.

EqualTo is a great tool to help with spreadsheets that are a little more advanced than what excel can handle. This is more directed for developers use case but great all around
EqualTo can be a little daunting at first but they have a great team to help you along the way to making a complex but efficient spreadsheet that is easy to understand
