I like emoney's powerful suite of financial planning features that allow me to model out the full picture of a client's financial life. From insurance to strong links of accounts, it really has everything. The client portal is really clean too.

Sometimes the advisor side can be a little klunky.

Emoney provides robust planning tools! It allows you to take your expertise behind the scenes and really create a truly remarkable plan for clients. The presentations are very easy for the client to understand.

There's a steep learning curve at the start, but after that, it's a very repeatable process.

It's allowing us to solve both present and future problems simultaneously. We are able to optimize a client's plan rather than hyper-focus on past vs present scenarios.

We say that our firm is "financial planning centric." eMoney is key to enabling us to live this out. It is robust and also constantly evolving to bring new tools and adapt to changes in markets, policy, and more. Most of all, it allows to illustrate the impact of potential decisions in the context of a client's complete financial picture, rather than in isolation. This helps to avoid unintended consequences and narrow thinking.

If there is anything to dislike, it is that it can be a bit clunky to navigate through. Also, the client portal's budgeting tool struggles at times to properly categorize spending, and the connections to outside accounts frequently break.

Financial planning is complex, in that very few parts exist on a truly standalone basis. Nearly everything you choose will impact at least one other element of the plan. Without comprehensive software like eMoney, it's really difficult to analyze things within this interconnected web of decision points. eMoney does a great job bringing it all together, and also helping us illustrate both the short- and long-term impacts of a set of decisions. This allows us to do what we set out to do, which is to give our clients visibility into and confidence around the long-term, so that they can more completley and confidently enjoy the near term.

eMoney provides comprehensive planning tools for my practice. Customer support is outstanding. I use it daily and find it very easy to learn and implement.

Too much manual entry. Not enough customization potential.

Support has been responsive, implementing user suggestions and making creative and useful improvements over the years. The latest "Decision Center" sped up the client review process with single click selection of various reports.

Clients gain a sense of peace having all of their finances summarized and updating in one place, working together in a complete plan. They know they always have access to copies of important documents in "the vault".

We have tracked client projections over 21 years to current, illustrating the accuracy of the system. That gives us confidence in our planning that is obvious to our clients. We now use it with nearly all clients.

It took us a while to get efficient with advanced planning techniques, but had not taken time to have everyone go through the training. As we went through the training modules, it became like a second language - simple to use. Like anything worthwhile, you need to dedicate time time to learn it.

One of my favorite features in eMoney is the interactive Facts tab. It allows us to keep track of both the accounts we manage and those we don’t, giving us a more complete view of our client's financial picture. It’s a great tool for keeping everything organized and up to date as we continue planning.

The downside of eMoney is the client portal. I know they are working on this, so I am excited to see what is to come!
