The web integration, performance was top notch
There could have been more data flow analysis
Since the trial version exists especially for academics, please give it a shot
I am mostly using it to play around and experiment. Hopefully we would like to host it in our University server for researchers to improve standard of their code as they work on it
Clean and easy to use UI. Once my code base was connected, Gamma actually came up with the detailed analysis about code quality, design patterns, coupling between components etc. I can easily get to know what's really happening in the code at any point in time. This detailed analysis distinguishes Gamma from other code scanners.
Noting as such. Took me a little while to understand the report.
It shows how well written the code is. It tells me right away if I am following standard practises and no anti patterns are implemented. This gives me the opportunity to make my code more maintainable.
Once connected to our repository, Gamma was able to a very good job of static code analysis and reveal correctness and accuracy of the design patterns used in the code. This is a unique proposition of the product and unlike any other in the market. Most other static code analysis products show me obvious issues which of course Gamma does too.
The UI is intuitive and easy to use. Integrations across all tools in the CI/CD pipeline make it easy to implement rules before code gets pushed to the main branch.
Setup may take time and especially if it's an on-premise Git.
Check out the free version first which can connect to your hosted GIT repo. It will generate a report which you can easily interpret and navigate.
Integrated in our CI/CD pipeline, it shows me if I am breaking any of the standard design principles in my code. This leads to we shipping better and maintainable code.
The option to have a broad overview and the go deeper into different areas and issues. It provides actionable insight for managers to improve code quality and helps me to understand the current status of our development.
Nothing yet, it took a while to get our code ready to scan, but their support is super helpful and figured it out for us.
Make use of their support team and resources to learn enough about the product to make full use of it.
Working with an external development agency, Embold gives us an overview and insight into quality and development status.
I love how fast it is! It takes just several minutes to review a huge code. It highlights dependencies and design flaws. It's amazing how many metrics Gamma provides. It's something you don't know how much you need.
Pricing model is not very flexible. I'd like to be able to purchase a certain amount of scans, for example. With a large code repository, you might need to upgrade to a larger user pack, which shouldn't be necessary.
It's free to try out, but be careful - once you see how good it is, you won't be able to stay away. It's one of my most recommended products out there.
It gives great advice about the code and speeds up the whole development process. Gamma lets my team push out features faster than ever. It's also great to show the quality of your code to management.

Multi-Language repository is not yet being supported yet, but we are sure this will be released some day.
Do try the open-source version, to get a feel of GAMMA.
They also have a help page and Documentation, which is really hepful
Before introducing GAMMA into our DevOps Process, it was very difficult to find bugs.
After using GAMMA to scan our JAVA Projects, we not only found the Code Issues but came across Design Issues, which we never thought of.
As a Non-Profit Startup, it is important that we deliver a good expierience to our Community.
And also stable apps.
By using GAMMA, we have noted a quicker release of new features as we saved time trying to fnd the bugs.
Came across Design Issues which gave us a good overview on how they are connected to the Code Issues.
