What do you like best about eG Enterprise?

It is a easy tool for IT ecosystems. It offers automatic monitorin for my IT team, provides detailed reports to help pinpoint application shutdowns & detects network disruptions. Technically, this tool make easy, faster & efficient my work

What do you dislike about eG Enterprise?

The browser of the application gets slow somtimes aand even crashes sometimes, so i had to re-start the app

Monitoring my team in real time, after eG it was a really slow proccess

What do you like best about eG Enterprise?

A dashboard that provides a single view of routers, servers, and applications.Excellent for the tech support team.

What do you dislike about eG Enterprise?

Product pricing is on the higher side but that is acceptable as it offers flexibility as well as a lot of features.

What problems is eG Enterprise solving and how is that benefiting you?

Helping the Tech support team to be proactive to ensure slow performance is mitigated as eG points out the root cause.

What do you like best about eG Enterprise?

It is an analytics solution for advanced IT landscapes. It provides automated IT monitoring, network outages, reporting to troubleshoot the slowdowns of apps, severe failures, and many more. It uses a combination of agentless and agent-based techniques to monitor the performance and health of the whole IT framework. It simplifies the performance debugging and results in speedy problem resolution. It determines the root cause of problems and resolves them speedily and delivers a great customer experience. It delivers unparalleled visibility beyond app performance, user experience, whole supporting framework, and business transactions. It has made the diagnosis, monitoring, and reporting of fundamental IT services simpler and faster.

What do you dislike about eG Enterprise?

Sometimes it can be enormous because of the big list of features and high levels of flexibility. The configuration is quite confusing and difficult. It has a steep learning curve and requires a great amount of time and training to start with due to the extensive coverage of multiple tech stacks.

What problems is eG Enterprise solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is a single-pane-of-glass, auto-diagnostic performance monitor. It delivers insights to developers to help them enhance code for high performance. It embeds the cloud-aware root cause diagnosis and virtualization and correlates performance alerts from multiple tiers and highlights automatically where the root cause of the issue lies. In this way, you can easily differentiate the problem cause from its impacts and resolve issues in minutes despite days. It provides personalized views for multiple shareholders in an organization. It enables you to create and view real-time dashboards in minutes. It offers extensive custom and pre-built reports.

What do you like best about eG Enterprise?

eG Enterprise provides me a single pane of glass view - from routers, servers, and applications. I've had to support different types of applications over time and i've been able to get these monitored and to great depth every time. The topology views are great, the layered model presentation of each application makes it real easy to use. Often i am called upon to explain what happened during the last few days and in that context, i find the historical reporting really useful. The ability of the tool to support both synthetic and agent-based monitoring is also very useful for us as it gives us both perspectives - the external and the internal perspective.

What do you dislike about eG Enterprise?

Configuration of the tool can be made easier. I would like to have the reports be more customizable.

Recommendations to others considering eG Enterprise:

eG Enterprise is good value for money. Their support is top-notch. They have been extremely responsive and have helped almost always. We've given them many inputs over the years and even demanded some modifications. They've responded well in every instance.

What problems is eG Enterprise solving and how is that benefiting you?

Single pane of glass, ability to pin-point problems, coverage across my entire technology stack.

Benefits include proactive alerting, faster and easier troubleshooting and having data to make intelligent capital investments.

What do you like best?

What do you like best about eG Enterprise?

The best thing about eG is it delivers complete visibility across our entire infrastructure from Layer 1 to Layer 7, switches, LAN, to hosts to applications like Citrix, SQL, HYper-V and Exchange. We never have to guess - why is it slow. In a few clicks we know the root cause.

What do you dislike about eG Enterprise?

There is nothing really bad to say about eG. I have been using the product for over 12 years.

Recommendations to others considering eG Enterprise:

If you are considering a monitoring suite, try eG. Do the trial - it's free, it's very non-intrusive and you will see results in 24 hrs.

What problems is eG Enterprise solving and how is that benefiting you?

eG delivers huge value. In some cases it has allowed us to avoid buying new hardware. The old approach of throwing $$$ at slow performance is mitigated because eG pinpoints the root cause. This saved us tens of thousands of dollars by avoiding the purchase of new/additional servers. We are able to maximize completely the existing hardware we have.

What do you like best about eG Enterprise?

The eG product provides me with so much visibility, whilst presenting the data in a very useful way. I now run the product across several of our clients, and I can now work on more important requirements with confidence that the IT infrastructure is running soundly.

What do you dislike about eG Enterprise?

Product appears to be expensive, but once you realise the capability of the product along with being able to easily extend visibility without having to implement a second, third or more products. Therefore, the dislike of eG is having to try justify the investment earlier on - rather than having to wait for the customer to realise this 1 or 2 years down the track....making it more difficult to replace the now 4 or 5 products they have invested in since as short term solutions.

Recommendations to others considering eG Enterprise:

Go with a single pane of glass NOW. Signing up to a quick fix, cheaper or alternative product - may simply mean you have to sign up with a different product later on for different visibility / area. It is worth the investment now, and then grow the product from there - overall so much more affordable then ending up with 5 different products / upgrades, agents - and no triaging / root cause analysis.

What problems is eG Enterprise solving and how is that benefiting you?

I have solved several issues with the product. Many of which I would have never even been aware of was an issue, or would have never have found or linked with the root cause. After hour callouts have significantly dropped, and in fact this Chistmas / New year period I had 'no callouts'. This was due eG helping us to be proactive to ensure no upcoming issues prior to the break.
