ITS FREE! I home-school my daughter, who is five years old. This is a great tool to check progress With free quizzes and tests in various subjects for different grade levels. I can also connect with other teachers in my area that also homeschool for video meetings and classes.
I honestly can't say that there is much I don't like. The user interface he is intuitive enough, the menus are easy to navigate, and it has tons of content. It's possible as I use it more I may find things that I dislike but as of yet I have found none.
This product helps me keep track of my child's progress and connect with other classrooms to offer my child more of a traditional school experience. Having the quizzes and tests on various subjects also gives me peace of mind that my child is where they need to be regarding curriculum.
Customization of assessments. Connection to Google Classroom.
It can be a laborious process to create questions/assessments.
Edulastic has helped us move from paper-based assessments that we could not easily put into Google Forms into the online realm.
What I like best about Edulastic is the ready-made state practice tests that are available for my students. I can also easily create an assessment by putting in the standard I would like to assess. It then shows me available questions to add that align with that standard. I can then choose the questions I would like to add to my assessment and create the test.
There is nothing I dislike about Edulastic. It is user-friendly, and my students enjoy assessing the computer. I have tried other websites to create tests, but Edulastic is by far the best. Edulastic allows my students to test independently and at their pace.
I would highly recommend going through the Edulastic training before beginning. It will teach you everything you need to know to become familiar with Edulastic.
The problem I am solving with Edulastic is assessing students in the classroom. Edulastic helps prepare my students for state testing. It allows my students to become familiar with different types of questions that will be on their end-of-year test. There are drag and drop, multiple select, multiple-choice, and constructed response questions that you can choose from.
I love the testing bank has past test items, allows you to search by standard, and makes it crazy easy to create your own test items. It is user friendly for both teacher and student. There are ways for students to eliminate wrong answers and to set it up for differentiation.
Lately, December 2021, it is glitching. I've had to contact them when a test wouldn't print and a colleague had her test questions shuffle so they didn't match the sources! However, their customer service and engineers are fabulous and handled all problems.
Allowing students to test in the same type of format that they would see in state testing, test analysis and standards are done for you. You can watch them test in real time and redirect the test if they need to make corrections.
This is a great resource to create classroom assignments for students.
I have no immediate dislikes for this software.
It’s a great way to network with other teachers and create continuity in learning environments.
Edulastic can be accessed through Clever if you set it up that way and will auto roster. The data and reports are fantastic!
Sometimes when a large majority of students are signing in at the same time or have extra apps running, it can create issues signing in.
Purchase the professional development for staff. There are so many useful dynamics to this program as well as the date and reports that it's important to train the staff so they can use the program to it's fullest.
Autograding is awesome plus it works with Google Classroom which is a must during remote learning.
I can create collaborative and cross-curricular assessments using verified tests created by other educators.
Often times the interface is confusing to manipulate test bank items.
Edulastic saves on time and planning to create more holistic lesson planning resources.
I really like the ability to monitor all student's progress as the students are taking assessments. Before a student submits their answers, you can easily see how students are performing. I like that this allows me to check in with students before they consider being finished and can catch people before they fail. Links to the assessment can easily be inserted into Schoology. Our school district uses this system to push out common summative assessments and share data across schools. Inputting answers from a paper copy is very easy.
I do not like some of the accommodations for special education students. To have a read-aloud option you need to record a YouTube video with the questions read aloud and embedded into the question. I also like to have paper copies for special education students. Printing the assessment is not hard, but I like to have one question per page so my small groups can stay together and not rush ahead. This does not offer an option to print one question per page, I have to print each question individually. When inputting paper scores manually, you need to be careful of other submissions coming in as it can change the student you are inputting answers for.
This platform helps me monitor my students assessments in live time and help check in with them before submitting an assessment. I can be pro active during assessments rather than reactive after seeing their results.
The ability to mix-up questions and their solutions.
It pauses students quite a bit. There are not many 10th grade English diagnostic tests. There should be an option to minimize the number of responses in cloned multiple-choice tests automatically. This is for alternative students who require fewer choices. It takes too long to go in and alter the choices.
I love the control it gives me over testing. I can mix up questions and answers per student. I can also force them to stay on the screen. This stops them from searching for answers.

The user interface is user-friendly the menus are easy. Its the choice, for creating tests. Their customer service is good.
