I'm old school, former Novell, post NDS & NLM days... eDir is what made Novell relevant again in the market place. One essential, centralized directory to manage and orchastrate everything. The first cross platform directory sevice was easy to use, configure, deploy and maintaine. This helped with managing missional critical business imparatives such as zero day start and stop ensure every employee or partner had access to the right tools, apps and services by automating provisioning and deprovisioning.

There were non. The biggest 'downside' was a lack of market awareness. As a seller I was often told NO -- NO to Novell. I asked for them to know Novell before they said No to Novell.

The was overwhelming, tell me more but we are a x,y,z shop and we aren't buying Netware... so I made a promise. We'd have a conversation and I wouldn't mention Netware unless they brought it up first.

eDirectory makes it super simple to go through the hassle of building a full fledged directory platform with all the bells and whistles that you could expect! It's features riched and enable anyone to build a membership website whether be it a directory, a classifieds site, real estate and many other niches without writing a single line of code!

It's quite a comprehensive platform and along with this comes a bit of complexity to go through all the available options and features. So at first I felt a bit overwhelmed but later after I learned the ins and outs and followed a bit of tutorial my site was up and running in no time.

I highly recommend eDirectory for building amazing directory sites especially for non technical users as it requires no code knowledge whatsoever. And the outcome is quite impressive. You can truly kickstart an online money generating platform in no time!

My directory lists businesses in the Middle East and Africa region (MENA) so eDirectory with its lead generation and capturing tools makes it super easy to reach out to new leads and get them to sign up and list their businesses so that was a major point of strength for me.

Good directory solution with features like listings, events, deals & articles makes it applicable to many industries.

Its have cost high as compared to other vendors in the global market. I wish I had had the money to start easier

Their support team is in Brazil, but they are very good. Occasionally hard to get a hold of, but mostly responsive and do a great job.

Beside that fact that there is no app for mobile phone, site has mobile friendly version and there are very good and preferable suggestions, photo and video gallery, that makes you sense that there are working people who not only knows, but loves their job. when you need support for webs, or applications, you know that you will find it easy here. Also you can find places here, so it really makes sense !

I dislike that there is no application form mobile phone. and no offline web. Also the company is not worldwide and many people, who need help from you, can't access to your platform and

I recommend eDirectory team to reach more areas, that people from whole of the world will know about your team, because you are really needful persons and many people need your support, ideas, so many ideas will be launched after you! So I suggest you become a worldwide team! Also be more creatiively I mean with suggestions and you will help more people, many business and many skillful persons.

I am PR manager of the restaurant ''Meama'' in Georgia (country) so I take some suggestions, ideas, designs and advises here.

To create the listings with eDirectory, I found it was incredibly easy to do so. It even permits me to sort my listings for easier access; this was something useful for an indexed directory to bakeries in my locality.

At times, some of the listings didn’t go where I intended having them, or they just made random movements around the page. This became a hassle when I wanted to create a specific flow of browsing for my visitors to enjoy more of.

Using eDirectory as my local bakery directory has been helpful to organize the list and create the directory. The immediacy, which the broadband connections afforded in creating listings, or the slick presentation on the home page, helped make the initial setup a breeze.

It is really seamless to drive traffic to your directories, easlily add or remove entries and generate revenue.

The UI/UX can be improved at several places the website lags smoothness. There is also not a consolodated dashboard for all the data.

It is a one stop solution for all the required data

Quite admin friendly. You can setup many things from control panel and have a directory site up with payment options.Supports plans, many different types of directory. Search works. But maybe an integration with Algolia would be great.

UI customization is not very good. Code modification is sometimes difficult because of unnecessary obfuscation! I am not sure why a system like this would have obfuscated code in php which anyone can reverse engineer in a few minutes but just being a pain.

I would have liked more out of the box mobile friendly design/layout.

This was an OOTB solution to host the variety of events that our partners could list. You could create tiers and subscriptions, which was nice to start monetizing our service.

We had to do quite a bit of customization through the development team at eDirectory, which added up over time. There were some integrations that were a little more complex (ex: Stripe).

We used eDirectory instead of a Custom site because our service was a directory of workout classes happening throughout specific cities. It was great for charging partners to post their workouts, but when Covid happened, our business model got rocked, and we pivoted to focus more on content creation, which wasn't edirectory's strong suit (SEO & blog customization).

Mobile app builder, powerful search engine

Terribly unresponsive support that takes forever to reply to urgent issues. It is almost impossible to get anything fixed without taking weeks to months of correspondence because they only reply once a day or weeks or never at all. The product is incredibly buggy and bugs take an eternity to fix.

It dominates the niche of buggy directory software that does not have any useful support.
