I like to use Easy Software Deployment because of the GUI.

I dont like the color of the layput of Easy Software Deployment.

The upsides of ESD are it's easy to use solution using minimal infrastructural components.

There are a lot of possible options and it's not always clear what they do of which effect they have on the deployment.

If you only need a tool for software distribution, get ESD.

Install huge package in short time for many pc's in the same network. We have almost 100 pc's that are managed by this software.

ESD's software can be installed quickly and without an SQl database. After installation, it is easy to get up and running with this software. The product supports many different software extensions. Besides being a nice product, ESD provides fantastic support on the product.

I worked with ESD in the early stages of the product. At that time I had to distribute .exe software to computers mostly with scripts which makes it difficult if you don't know how to make scripts. ESD also provided excellent support back then. ESD always helped until the software was successfully distributed. ESD now offers a libray of applications that I could previously only dyploy through scripts.

I used to work at a school that used a fileshare; all software was deployed using active directory. This approach left us with no overview of what was or was not installed, resulting in many calls to the helpdesk. ESD has a clear dashboard where you can easily see which applications have been installed. Thanks to the perfect integration with Active directory you can use security groups to get the software on the right devices.
