The Rate library and chat feature are great for managing small-group health insurance. Plus, the integrations with ancillary insurance carriers continue to expand, and payroll integrations have sped up significantly.
Health insurance carriers continue to refuse to get into direct-to-carrier integrations which still slows the full client integration of group health plan management. This is less an Ease problem than a widespread industry problem for almost all benefits administration systems.
No more paper and speed of integrations for payroll. Our brokerage administrator seats are inadequate for working with our Third Party Administrators. Ease has worked around third-party access for each client company build, just ask how to accomplish this when you purchase a subscription to Ease.
Very intuitive and user-friendly. Reporting options are great and I feel like it works well on the backend, making it truly a one-stop shop for benefits management for my team.
One major downside is that the platform is built on the broker side which means if you decide to change in the future that information will have to be completely rebuilt (the employer doesn't "own" the account). Given that this doesn't happen too often it's not a huge issue.
it's a great tool for my employees to be able to compare benefit options and build their wellness package with pay transparency. I like that I can update an employee status very easily on there and the broker team is able to take care of everything from there.
Ease has been so helpful for our company. Not only are all my important HR documents all in one place, but they're online. If I am out of the office or already gone for the day, I can easily login online and get the information I need. It is also so nice for onboarding.
I do wish I was able to add more Custom paperwork for them to fill out during onboarding. Careflite applications have to be hand done instead of auto-generated like all the others.
Everything is digital, it's at the fingertips of my employees as well as me. I do not have to pull open a file cabinet, search for a paper and then make a copy.
Using the Ease system allows me to manage my clients timely and efficient. It is a one-stop shop for keeping plan information and documents accessible for owners, managers, and employees. The best part is the support provided by Ease's extraordinarily knowledgeable and conscientious staff. We all look like Rock Stars with Ease!
I only have hiccups with videos in the Instructions for benefits. Sometimes they work, and sometimes they don't. Not sure what I am doing wrong. I usually use You Tube.
Connections with carriers genuinely brings peace of mind knowing that I am done once enrollments are entered in Ease. There are no more double or triple entries that need to be made.
The user interface is just simply stunning. It makes it so desirable and easy to use. This is a platform where anyone can go in and find anything that they're looking for.
I wish that there was some integration with blue shield. My provider LBW has put the link to all the documents, but there is no way to make changes to blue shield through ease.
Ease helps us solve an easy way to get all of our employees registered with their health benefits. It is very easy to see who is registered, who has not signed up yet.
I love that everything I need for a group enrollment is easily found on the EASE platform. Also, new group administrators are surprised at how easy the process is to complete and get reports.
I wish the Summary of Benefits for the health plans were as easily downloadable from the carriers as the rates and application forms. Sometimes a company's logo is too big and needs to be resized with the help of tech support.
EASE helps my groups show their employee's current rates and plan details for their benefits. Employees can easily enroll or waive coverage from their cell phones or computer without the back and forth of emails.
The best thing about ease is how everything is in one place. It is easy to go in and view elections and delinations without rifling through hundred and hundred of pages of paper copies. It truly made the enrollment process so smooth and the daily maintenance of benefits management much easier for any overworked HR professional.
I wish ease worked with Kaiser more seamlessly. Right now, we only offer Kaiser for our medical insurance and it is the only offering not fully captured within ease. There is an additional step when anyone signs up for Kaiser.
The paperwork is a nightmare when it comes to benefits enrollment and delinations. It frees up more time for me to focus on bigger issues and less buys work. My day has more time!
I really like how easy the program is to navigate. The UI is very streamlined and I think the employee view is very clear and clean too. The support teams are very helpful and always available to assist. I also like how open to input they are; I've seen several suggestions and requests be built into the programming.
Some system changes go through growing pains and I think are pushed out too soon at times. I feel like I miss a lot of programming updates that would be useful to know, but get breezed over. Pay schedules really could use a revamp. If this could be integrated into Ease, instead of needing to upload an excel document, I think this would be a huge improvement.
Ease has revamped the way payroll connections work, which is going to be incredibly helpful. They have grown their 834 team, which means that the support is shared by more than one person. Work is being done to enable ABG flex connections to function correctly.

Please consider the amount of money you will save on paper, on re-printing in case an employee lost it, the handwritten details not being legible and the Carrier contacting you to obtain the details, worse than that? The carrier may fill in with the information they "understand", but you won't go through this with EASE. Employees will have online enrollment and there are videos that you can show the employees that will help with their sign-up/log-in, there is nothing to lose.

The quoting tool is fairly easy, but the presentation portion could stand to be easier to read and easier to have accurate information. I don't like having to remove employees out of the system to get accurate quotes
