There is a bit of a learning curve (first time to use it), but again Dryfta provides great technical support and has a large library of tutorials.
We saved a lot of money because we had to switch from a face-to-face Bays and Bayous Symposium to a virtual event. Dryfta not only allowed us to uploaded prerecorded presentations, there are multiple ways for attendees to engage with speakers, during and after the event. We had almost double the number of attendees (723), then we had with the last 4 biennial events.
PROS: I've listed the best things about Dryfta and how we made use of it for our large academic conference: (1) easy to set up; (2) creates a professional-looking website; (3) easy management of budget; (4) setting up pricing is a breeze; and (5) hassle-free scheduling and programming. Everything can be done using this software! Their amazing customer support team is a bonus!
CONS: Printing badges using the software is a bit tricky. It would also take time to learn using the program since it may require a bit of knowledge about HTML and CSS.
Support at all times, willingness on the part of Dryfta for us to succeed and thrive, a caring and professional human component.

Well, we need to organize a medium-size conference and Dryfta provided an efficient and amazing solution.
We used the Dryfta conference platform to organize the Memory Studies Association Fifth Conference “Convergences” (5-9 July 2021). This event, held entirely online, lasted five days and had nearly 1500 participants from all over the world. The program included 230 panels, roundtables and special sessions. We did not have a single technical glitch during the entire event, at least none caused by Dryfta!
The Dryfta team, and especially our personal assistant, Zeb Reyaz were very, flexible, supportive, responsive and communicative. They did their best to adjust the platform functionalities to our specific needs and were very quick to implement changes and remove any errors. Zeb and his team supported us throughout the conference, often going well beyond their obligations (e.g. by staying over hours or by downloading the recordings of the sessions much faster on the website than it was originally agreed on).
Initially, from backstage, the platform seemed to us a bit clumsy and difficult to handle and our conference assistant and communication person spent a lot of time setting up and testing the submission, review, registration, payment and automated e-mailing systems, the program and the conference homepage. In the end, however, the website worked great.
MSA is a non-profit organization with a limited budget. Dryfta services were value for money.
PROS: Dryfta is a robust system with a wide range of functions! Aside from that, it also has an impressive customer support team which made our user experience a lot more enjoyable.
CONS: For us, the panel submission is a little complex for new users.
PROS: This program is your best friend when it comes to events management. It is user-friendly. It offers a wide range of functions that allows you to do a lot of tasks -- from in-app communication to events website development. We also enjoy using the app because it makes everything convenient. We also just recently tried the bading feature! All great. They also have a super accommodating customer service team!
CONS: Although amazing as it is, Dryfta can still improve its reporting systems and emailing process. They could add an auto-response feature.
PROS: This the perfect tool for managing and organizing academic conferences. It also has a function that can be used in judging!
CONS: The system could be a bit overwhelming because of its many functions. However, I feel like documentation can still be improved. Amazing program nonetheless.
PROS: It has everything you need for organizing and managing a conference or any big events. I also like that it has its own app which makes it even more convenient to use.
CONS: The web builder is not that flexible. I wish there are more ways to customize the website to make its appearance fit the feel of the event. Setting up the payment method is a little confusing, too.
Dryfta pays attention to a user's requests for updates and they're continuously upgrading and improving the platform. Dryfta Support is fantastic! Zeb, and lately Sarah, are doing a great job - thank you!
The automated email notifications are overwhelming, due to the fact that there are so many of them. Then there are so many features that I don't use - not a bad thing, but I feel I should perhaps educate myself to use more of them. I've now used Dryfta for three events (scientific conferences) and I'm slowly becoming more confident using the platform.
