After being offered a presenter opportunity that I wasn't expecting, I needed to create a website and fast. I did not want to use my general business site, and stumbled across DoodleKit after searching for an inexpensive and quick site builder. This review is about their free (basic) plan, and that is the one that I have used. My favorite thing about this site is that it is VERY easy to use, probably the easiest of any site builder I have tried. I paid someone to create my business site, and knew I did not want to do that for the (short term) purpose of my new website. There are a TON of website templates to choose from, way too many for my liking, and I was happy to narrow them down to what I was looking for by searching the keywords "zen" and "minimal". You can customize pretty much anything, and easily add your social media sites, business hours, slidesshow/photos/ and blog. Also, the websites look great on mobile devices!

The templates are not super fancy, but they do the job. This is not a dislike, just more of an observation.

For a small business (one person!) like mine , Doodlekit is exactly what I need. I am not looking to spend a ton of money, and don't need fancy features. You can quickly and simply get your site up and running using this software.

I really enjoy the variety of ways which you can personalize your website and for the multitude of reasons you can set your site up for (non-profit, business, etc.)

If I hadn't had experience with other website builders such as Weebly or WordPress, I think it is a bit of a learning curve for new-to-the-scene users.

I would recommend spending extra time practicing using the site before publishing. Also definitely operate in Internet Explorer/Firefox because when we tried to sign up initially on Google Chrome, it wouldn't allow us to create a profile. Also, make sure you have a blueprint idea of what you'd like your site to feature - photos and text especially as this will save a lot of time when you start building the perfectly personalized website you're going for.

We're trying to make a fully-unique website to share information of our members and their families networks to be a strong support system for one another.

I was asked for an assistance by my computer teacher for making a website, Doodle kit came out to be a life saver for me. We used its basic free plan which was extremely useful. The features an tools are quite easy to understand.

I like it a lot and my colleague kept using it after our first experience with it. So found no issues with it.

It is great simple app even very good for beginners who are new into websites. Easy to use thus time saving and user friendly.
