DjangoCMS is based on Python/Django, one of the cleanest, most solid and powerful web frameworks out there. The best thing about DjangoCMS is how it plugs into Django - whole apps can be made available within the DjangoCMS administration very easily and writing plugins also is a breeze as plugins are also based on Django apps.
I also like the ability to quickly launch a DjangoCMS project on Aldryn, an all-inclusive hosting / deployment solution by Divio, where many of DjangoCMS' contributors work.
The interface design could be a bit smoother, especially the frontend editing part, however the latest version has brought significant improvements.
Combining content pages with custom-made application logic! DjangoCMS is very powerful and versatile when it comes to building websites that require custom functionality and business logic.
The user interface for frontend editing is very easy to handle and intuitive. Most of our content editors don't need a long time to understand the cms and this helps us to save some budget. Furthermore django CMS's flexibility allows us to add more and more plugins and keep our websites updated and on top of latest trends.
There is no option available at the moment for the content administrator to publish a page in different languages at the same time, all different languages must be published independently.
django CMS is a powerful platform that gives a lot of possibilities and where nothing is impossible. Of course there are other CMSes like Typo3, Wordpress etc. All of them have their own strengths and weaknesses, but django CMS lacks nothing compared to others and it's actually written in Django which is way more flexible and secure than PHP.
We developed many Django applications that we could easily integrate with django CMS. We are also using it because of it's multisite feature, and the many languages supported, which bring our business and products closer to our customers and partners.
Your content manager will love you, especially with the user friendly page editing tool.
You need a custom placeholder, CMS plugin make your developer happy.
You want to inject a custom Django application to the page tree, just hook it.
The flexibility offered by Django framework permit to easily add new custom feature to your CMS.
The community provide a good choice of Django-CMS applications, like blog, news, poll, etc., and you always find good support from the enthusiasts community of developer.
By default, not made for complexe content workflow, like moderation queue.
Reverting page content changes is not always perfect, but work on most use cases.
Not always easy to deal with placeholder caching mechanism.
Never tested with more than 10'000 pages, also be careful if you use it with lot of simultaneous content editor, all depends of your architecture capacity and editor workflow. For big website need considering frontend caching solution, like Vanish to guarantee fast page loading time. With a suitable architectured the CMS be able to support anyway heavy load!
I use this CMS to create valued website with high traffic since more than 5 years.
The powerful capacity of Django framework permit to create a custom experience over the top of the CMS itself. Like a custom search-engine, a custom authentication mechanism or set up complexe plugins.
You always be able to respond *yes* when the business come with a crazy idea :-)
Django CMS is an organized and logical way to store our website's content. The bare bones are fairly easy to use even for a non-engineer.
With so many pages, it can be a bit slow to make changes. The nuances within a page can also be difficult to learn as a non-engineer.
Django CMS allows us to host our website's content. It's integral to the success of our website.

The django CMS is extremely user friendly and has a very intuitive drag and drop interface.
I didn't need any big training and was able to start very fast with creating websites..
Allowing non-techincal Users to make and update content without deep knowledge.
The use of plugns is not so easy as on other platforms.
