A practice-oriented platform developed and refined with the typical needs of a qualitative market researcher in mind. Everything you need on one platform. Easy to use and, very important, good tech support.
The tech checks beforehand are sometimes a bit inconvenient for participants. Tech support at the tech check with the participants only in English (I am from Germany)
Qualitative market research of all kinds. An integrated platform for all relevant steps, tasks and issues.
The ease and simplicity of the platform coupled with high quality performance and functionality makes Discuss a valuable tool for your project.
The "waiting room" was a little bit surprising, wasn't sure what to expect and when
Able to connect to the researcher and group smoothly making group communication less stressful
Based on experience with multiple projects, I continue to have great experiences collaborating with Discuss.io. The platform is great for online qualitative with excellent technical support. Platform benefits include private chat, backroom chat, sentiment tagging, and archives with automated transcripts and recordings.
Looking forward to continued innovation as it relates to moderator tools, observer tagging, video/transcripts, and Genie AI assistant. Continued evolution keeps us all on top of our game and focused on delivering actionable insights in an agile way.
Agility to drive insights into action & continuous improvement
I loved the lead moderator who was very considerate and easy going in asking the participants questions. I also loved the ease of downloading the program for me to join. I apprecaited the ease of integrating all participants into the discussion. Customer support was great and helped check the technical aspects of the discussion before we went live. Everyone is given ample enough time to discuss their views or ask questions.
There really was nothing I disliked about the discussion. I had so much fun, that I would have gone another hour.
I think it is solving the problem of defining a target market for some products and services. It benefits me as a consumer in regard to what I would like to purchase or partake of in the future.
Flagging comments and being able to label them to pull together for later use will be incredibly helpful in analysis. Great tech support!
There has only been one thing I couldn't navigate and it was using the markup tool, presenting new data and then coming back to the marked up page. I had to delete markups on the first page or they pull through to the other data pages I needed to present.
Being able to capture notes at the end of each interview is a tool I will rely on moving forward. Three simple questions after each session will actually capture a lot in the long run.
It is designed with the researcher in mind, not retro fitted to also work in market research. I can load my discussion guide, organize transcripts, and more easily analyze findings. I also like that I can preview respondents and their basic info in advance of groups.
nothing not to like! very simple/easy to use.
Again - designed with the researcher in mind from the start, so it just works for how we use the tools.
As a participant, it isn't confusing to use Discuss. I don't feel lost on the platform, and it is straightforward to use. The person doing customer support was friendly and helpful.
In one session, we were unable to see a displayed video play smoothly, so I'm not sure if that's a problem with Discuss, or on each user's end. Even with lowering the badwidth of playback and resolution didn't seem to help.
Since I am a participant, working as an independent contractor, this question isn't too relevent to me. However, Discuss.io works well as a platform to gather and disseminate information from participants.
Discuss was easy to use, implement, and integrate with my web browser. The live customer support provided a level of confidence as they invited, greeted, and was available to support another individual that was having issues. I was able to use the collaboration tools during our meeting as well.
I am a first time user of Discuss, so I would like to see how consistent my experience will be as I use it more frequently.
Discuss allowed me to share feedback on videos and graphics for a market research company.
Having live support to check in participants and do the tech checks is super valuable
Participants on mobile devices don't seem to pass tech checks. Not sure if this is user error, but I would like to be able to take folks who may be on a tablet or phone.
Makes online qualitative research more productive with the interactive tools and virtual "backroom" for clients and other observers

The easy management of the platform itself and how it is very customer friendly. Also the tools that it gives us as a business are very useful to have key insights.
I would say that sometimes it is complicated to really know what is wrong with the participants when they are not well connected.
It is a very friendly platform for the participants and they find it really easy to manage it.
