Datto's Backupify simplicity is what attracted Thirdera and in the end, got us into their product. The best part of it is that with a simple interface we can manage every backup for all the tools: Email, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams.

The only thing that I don't like is that the area regarding the account profile, billing details and invoice history is somewhat incomplete compared to similar tools. If I need this info I usually ask for it via email as it's not in the system.

We were in the need of an unlimited backup tool to protect all of our Office 365 data and that it was easy enough to recover files, folders or all the data a user had with a few clicks, and Backupify does that.

Its so easy user friendly. Support is always reachable and very user friendly they assist in a proper manner and so good that your business needs are well taken care.

I love knowing that if something happens to my client's 365 or google workspace data that I have a completely independent way to retrieve it. Its super easy to restore a user's mailbox, or files.

I haven't found any downsides yet, however, I have not had to perform mass restores yet, only individual users data.

Before we adopted this product we were entirely at the mercy of google and microsoft, if anything happened to the data and the vendor was not able to restore, we were out of luck, now we have a reliable method of restoring user data.

I love how easy it is to restore. I also love how easily it replicates to DATTO servers. After the data has been replicated, you can then easily virtualize in the cloud, browse backup files, covert the files to any time, and a lot more features that are really amazing.

After using DATTO for over a year, I can honestly say that there is nothing I don't like about the product. They have thought about everything when it comes to running backups

We are using Datto Backupify with Google. It was simple to set up and simple to assign to users. It is easier to use than Google Vault

I would like to be able to restore data to users outside of our domain as long as I have that username and password to their email.

Backupify is easy to set up and install. Once installed, it pretty much just works. It grabs backups three times a day of data in Office 365 or Google Workspace.

The interface is a little slow to respond, especially when you have a large number of customers or a large number of mailboxes. I also wish that there was support for other platforms like Dropbox or Box. Backupify does not backup data in Exchange Archive mailboxes, which generally isn't a problem unless you migrate data directly into the archive mailboxes.

The price-point of Backupify makes it competitive with Google Archive mailboxes and is an easy way to keep user data without keeping an account active. The same is true for Microsoft 365 accounts, especially if the mailbox is too large to be a shared mailbox.

One caveat is that data in Exchange Archive mailboxes are not backed up. This generally isn't a problem since that data usually hits the inbox first (where it is properly backed up) before it is moved to the archive box. The only issue is if you are migrating data directly into an archive mailbox, then it is never grabbed by the backup engine.

With the shared responsibility model of cloud providers, we always tell our customers that they need a backup to protect their data from themselves. Google and Microsoft won't keep backups beyond a certain period, while Backupify has an infinite retention model.

Incredibly easy to implement & manage. The solution is cost effective and my engineers have no issues using it. It does integrate into CW Manage so we have the alerting aspect as well.

Wish they had some better reporting features. Also, with the alerting for CW Manage (auto-creation of tickets), there is some nuance needed to properly have them open up under the corresponding companies.

Make sure that you are able to capture all the data necessary within the 365/Azure tenant that you need. Backupify is great, but it does not backup EVERYTHING, so just make sure you have a checklist.

We needed a solution that we could embed into our managed services plan that we are comfortable with and has major backing. Backupify checked the boxes. Although they were just recently purchased by Kaseya, we are hoping that Datto's culture will continue.
